"đź‘»guns" are a political hot potato. You may have to wait a while until some of the other issues are settled. If they lumped all the changes in together, they'd get more negative media attention.

I hope you're right. But I'm not holding my breath on this.

I never would have thought the $200 excise tax on some NFA would go away either.
Crossing my fingers the various lawsuits dismantling the registry succeed now. That's the brass ring.

If it does, get everything you ever wanted before the winds of power in DC blow the other way. Once the "D's" gain control again, they will try to reinstate all of it...and more.
Draining the swamp isn't enough, the commode needs to be flushed.

Who cares about the tax? Big whoop. It's STILL REGISTERED. And my bet is that is never going away, which is why I will never own a suppressor or SBR. The reduction of the tax to $0 is nothing more than an appeasement and offers the ILLUSION of victory.

This is an ongoing effort. ATF is committed to continued modernization and welcomes public input on proposed rules or outreach to our Senior Industry Partnership Advisor/Liaison

Call me a skeptic, but I think the "public input" is a form of mental masturbation. I don't believe for even a second that they even read any public input, much less take it into consideration. Waste of time. And maybe even puts you on the "radar." Nope... I'll vote. But I won't do that.

Hopefully, this is a step in the right direction...
If he stops the agency from conjuring up their own interpretations of the rules and inventing infractions like "constructive intent", that will be a good thing.

So... NOTHING about the unfinished frames rule. :(
Technically, 80% lowers are still legal at the Federal level. Several States have banned them, but the ATF only says that 80% lowers can't be sold with tools and/or instructions.

The problem of availability is that no one is producing 80% pistol frames to purchase.

Maybe this will change here shortly. I think everyone is playing wait and see.

Matthew Bardsley, the head of Polymer 80 said he would be back in one form or another. Anyone heard anything on him?

Yes, I'm sure that as soon as it runs it's course through the Courts, and people see some stability in the rules, we'll see at least one, hopefully several people start investing in the 80% manufacturing process again.

Even in Colorado, we got some good news on the đź‘»gun lawsuits here.
The 10th circuit allowed the suit to move forward and sent it back down to the lower court, which had denied an injunction and told them too look at it again with some instructions.

This is the game they play though. Up, down, up down til before you know it the suit is old enough to buy smokes. They are running out the clock until the supreme court changes composition in their favor. Which may be sooner than later given the stupid bullshit Trump is up to.

Yes, the Judicial system often looks like a game, but it's a game we must play to protect our Constitutional rights.

I'm not sure what "stupid bullshit" you speak of, but as far as I'm concerned, he's doing pretty much what I expected when I voted for him.

I agree that the game must be played.

You mean you vote for your own short-term benefits, rather than the benefits of the Country.
I'm not sure i would call that normal.

I definitely wouldn't want to brag about putting my own personal goals, above my children's and grandchildren.

While I welcome any improvements, short of a SCOTUS level decision or a signed law then I am not too excited as it can all be reversed via stroke of the pen at the whim of a future (or current) administration.

Check out this bullshit reporting.. What's the first lie?

The first one that showed up in my rum soaked brain is "thousands more firearms dealers across the U.S."

If I go to a gun show and sell my Sig P365 I guess I am technically a gun seller, but there is no way in hell I am a "firearm dealer"
