First Build

Can't see the hole!

Your jig is not taped shut and secure, it’s loose.
Did you watch the MGB videos ?
What are you using to drill those pin holes ?
What ever technique it, is not working.
That pin hole is obviously not straight.

Watch and follow the MGB videos if you want a quality firearm that will work.
You are building a weapon that can kill…it’s important that you can follow directions.

the left side isn’t straight I guess but the right side looks straight to me i’m looking. I’m using dremel workstation

here’s a more linear photo. I see the left is obviously not straight.

So i have to weld that up now?

There is a problem with the technique being used to drill the holes. Welding or filling the holes will not correct the issue unless the process being used is identified as to why the holes were drilled incorrectly in the 1st place.

yeah only thing it can be is my jig not super taped. And i’d say the first time was a personal mistake because I didn’t have workstation real secured.

Here's a photoshop-brightened image. The tracks in the two sides don't look parallel / lined up. But, I don't know if that's really the best way to assess the holes.

Can you put a pin through both sides?

So yeah my holes aren’t aligned. The pin barely goes through second hole.

"Barely goes through," meaning what? Does it go through with difficulty? Or it doesn't go all the way through?

okay i have a piece of my rear tab you’d think that will be good enough to weld with?
I would start with just the one that is obviously "off-track." Re-drill that one and see if the pin lines up.

I've never done the welding thing. I haven't had to plug a hole, yet.

Are you confident that you won't melt MORE of the frame? I think welding is a cool idea and technique, but I dare suggest it is in the realm of those with "good hands" or "experienced hands."

Here's an idea: Before you try welding on your frame, try it on a section of the jig as a "test run." Drill a hole in the jig and try to weld it. I'd practice before going to the frame.

Alternatively try one of the other methods with JB Weld or epoxy or the superglue / baking soda. Maybe do a practice run on the jig with those techniques.

See what works best for you. And, of course... ya gotta show us how you did!

yeah i prefer a method for beginners more like.

doing the baking soda and glue method seems easiest.
