I've considered sending a strongly worded email to the Mars-Wrigley leadership about why blue Skittles are not included. Blue is set aside as a special "tropical fruit" edition. Seems racist.

No idea, at 1st glance, it looks like the gun has a serial number to me .

My thinking also. If the effort to add a serial number was done in good faith, I think it would be hard to make a case it isn't legit. Unless there were other circumstances, of course.

UPDATE: changed text to black and got this below so changed it to white...

Yeah... the "dark" mode automatically corrects the colors to display in that mode. But the "native" color is what matters. So, you'll still want to type your normal text in black. The dark mode display will automagically convert it to be viewable.
