Georgia passes constitutional carry….on to Kemps desk we go!

would lead to a new gun safety loophole and make our state less safe tells you all you need to know about their priorities: they care more about their political aspirations than serving Georgians. Brian Kemp claims to support law enforcement, but his signature on this bill would ignore law enforcement’s warnings that it would put officers in greater danger

This makes no logical sense whatsoever. Do these folks actually believe that criminals follow the law and are WAITING for "Constitutional Carry" so they can perpetrate their crimes at the point of a gun? They weren't doing this BEFORE?

All these new laws (which are technically not needed, since the Constitution already protects this Right) do is remove restrictions from LAW-ABIDING citizens who wish to have the OPPORTUNITY to legally defend themselves.

The law has ZERO effect on criminals one way or the other.

We shall see
I believe he will sign. From the way the votes looked there were a lot of in favor of passing the bill than not. If I remember correctly the senate votes were something like 101(yes) to 60something (no))

I completely agree…..I’m sure the majority of crimes involving any type of firearm were not committed by someone legally carrying the firearm in the first place. Wether it actually gets signed by kemp or not I will be renewing my permit anyway just to have me covered when traveling to other places outside of Georgia.

There was a time when it was illegal to carry Concealed. Open carry was -more tolerated then allowed.
Havent read the law in many years- DGAF- but Ga & FL had something to the effect of going to or from a sporting, fishing or hunting event carrying a firearms is permitted open or concealed.
As a citizen, in the last 4yrs I have drawn twice in self defense where there was a police investigation. A CC permit was never even a question.
