I got a fever... the fever for more cowbuilds! Anyone else got a fever?

I have multiple barrels from Hooper in 9mm so I can't speak for their G20 barrel. They were all priced right at around $60 and function fine. I have no complaints. For less than what they want for the G20 barrel, I can get a nice 10mm barrel from Lone Wolf, Spinta, or Double Diamond. For a few dollars more, I can get a Zaffiri, KKM, Alpha Shooting, or Glock. Granted, they may not come in Bronze and that could be the tiebreaker for a specialized color since you will have to send off for coating.

Glock store has the DD barrels on sale for $80.99 in stainless if you use a 10% off coupon. I can get a coupon if you don't have one. Send to Home - STS Firearms Which will charge you around $40 if you self prep the barrel. They give you a 10% discount for LEO, First Responder, or Military.

Gotcha back for posting the P80s at Arm or Ally. 😁

I don't have any experience with Hooper barrels but I have a few slides from them. I really like this design although it is an orphan at present. I have the 45 acp version out for coating and am looking forward to the reunion.

I do have experience with a bunch of G20 barrels other than the Hooper offering. I have had regular feeding issues with Lone Wolf, KKM and Bar-Sto barrels. That issue went away completely when I got an OEM G20 barrel. It seems like the Glock barrels have a really generous chamber and feed ramp. Most aftermarket barrels are tighter, I guess to improve accuracy & to prevent case bulge. I did not have case bulge with other barrels but I do with the OEM barrel. For that trade off I now have a 10mm gun that will shoot anything I have put into it, even the widest of hollowpoints or the flattest of flat nose bullets. @bkbrno How does your Hooper upper feed? What ammo have you used in it? I am looking for a G20 upper for the PF45 frame that Racer made me get, this one might look good with a woodland camo lower.
Interesting that you say that. Yes, I've noticed the Glock 20's chamber is much looser than the others. On most other brands besides Glock 20 barrels, I have to do some work on the chamber to loosen it up and polish the inside to ensure it loads all ammo types. Glad I'm not the only one who's experienced that. It can also happen to stock Glock 20 barrels too but, typically, polishing and smoothing things out helps without sacrificing anything. G20 barrels can be finicky but the G40 barrels are just plain difficult.

I am leaning towards recommending Racer just get a stock Glock barrel because it will reliably feed anything...

This looks like a great resource! Get a stock, reliable barrel and send it off to get coated. Have your cake and eat it too!

Yes, Glock barrels are not too expensive, and they do work. Kind of like an AK is looser therefore more reliable - same concept with the OE G20 barrel.
