Racer88, he is not insulting you, he is pointing out that the algorithms are filtering and steering what you see. They do this based on what you looked at in the past and what they think you would like more of. If you see more of what you liked in the past, you will stick around longer and look at more ads.
As an experiment, use a VPN that lets you log in from a different location, also switch to Incognito or private mode. Don't log into any of your social media, google accounts, apple accounts etc. Do a google search for something and see if the results are different than what you get back when you search normally all logged in and browser history steering searches. While incognito, keep searching for left wing loony stuff and see if the trajectory goes in a different direction.
It's not you, it's the way things are. I grab my kid's phone, snooping, which my right and duty as a parent, and do a you-tube search. I'm not interested in what I searched for, I'm looking at the suggested video that pop up. It's a strong clue for what they have been searching or watching.
