In all my excitement and commentary about pistol builds

What's going on here? I must have missed something. I don't see any trolling. He posted a comment laughing at my comment with the photos of the handguard. And it is funny.

Calm Down Saturday Night Live GIF by Seeso

Recently, the US Navy posted a photo of a ship's commanding officer firing an M4 with the optic mounted backwards. Funny!

Lots of similar mistakes out there. Lots of builders install the extractor depressor backwards.

A long time ago, I installed and then uninstalled a RSA guide rod laser (Lasermax) on my Glock 19. I ran it for years after that. Only after I started building P80s did I realize that on my Glock 19, I had installed the slide lock backwards! The amazing part is that the gun still ran that way... for years!

The mistake referenced in my previous comment wouldn't affect the function of the rifle at all.

We all make goofy mistakes here and there. It's OK to laugh at them... and even ourselves.

I once did a really stupid thing in a lab in school. Almost set myself on fire. I enveloped myself in a ball of flames. But I reacted quickly and only suffered a few singed hairs and a big dose of embarrassment. But.... it's still funny!

I've had more than my share of forehead-smacking moments.

It has nothing to do with the post about the handguard. I laughed about that myself when you or someone else noticed it. It has to do with this dude having a stick in his ass. There is nothing I enjoy more than a heckler or a troll because in the end it becomes obvious they are gutless dweebs and probably still live in their mother's basement. Or it could be somebody like me stole his wife. I don't know. Nor do I care.

I'd bet cheeseburger he turns ignore back off because he just can't resist. But in the interest of peace an harmony I have turned on ignore for the first time. So as far as I'm concerned. The guy no longer exists. End of story.

People disappear because your toxicity drives them away. OK Mr. self-proclaimed omniscient Boomer gun guru. Love how you resort to name calling when someone calls out your BS. Haven't you been banned from this site before or at least been put on a long vacation for your toxicity? I was invited here to share knowledge on builds. How did you get here?

You are going back on ignore after this post so don't bother replying as I won't even see it. I try to help people. I think you come here to self-medicate or because you are bored.
He built 3 or 6 p80s (depending on which of his post believe is true), and decided from all that experience that OEM glock parts are snake oil.
He certainly didn't read that somewhere, he figured it out on his own. He's just floating above everyone else, and knows every MFing thing.

The ignore feature here is 2-way, which most forums don't have. Nothing wrong with using it to avoid conflicting personalities.

I'm depending on members to act like adults rather than moderating... if I can avoid it. There will be disagreements, especially between folks with big personalities and strongly-held opinions. Ask me how I know! I is one! LOL!

You really shouldn't allow members to call other members pvssies though, man. It makes for a really bad set of rules to be followed.

Actually it was Knack that said first. I just happen to agree there is no unique value exclusive to OEM parts.

I posted a pic of the builds. I was wrong. It's way more.

Now, this guy is suggesting I'm a homosexual, Racer. Is this allowed? Let me know, because I can go way more hardcore $hit talking on this likely very short man, but don't know yet how loose the rules here are.

Actually, I agree. I don't always catch things. We don't need to resort to name-calling. I hate to edit / censor things. I really do. But yeah... no need for ad hominem. Taken care of.

I think / hope he was being facetious. We'll see. Sometimes sarcasm / humor doesn't translate well in written form.

To try and recenter on guns and not people... About a third of the builds that I put together used OEM parts. The first ones. The rest are a mix of aftermarket triggers, rails, etc. The guns all run fine. If I wanted all OEM, I would just buy a new Glock. I think that's how I couched this once or twice before.

Frankengun is a dude?

Where did Knack get that idea from? Hmmmm// You've echoed the same BS several times. Where did you get that info from? The fact that you've used knock off parts for a couple of builds and had no issues?
That's verification enough for a fucking babbling know all though, am I right?

No one who's paying attention to what you post, cares what your new lie is, dude.

OK... I've done some editing... something I hate to do. But let's keep it civil. If that doesn't work, I can force ignores. :)

We're arguing about PARTS!?!??

Use whichever parts work for you. I like OEM for the critical parts in the firing mechanism. Keeps my life simple.

I have factory Glocks. I have factory M&Ps and Rugers. It's none of your business why someone wants to use OEM parts in there p80 builds, and you've certianly not read that aftermarket Glock parts are as good as OEM... You just made that shit up with your delusions of grandeur.
Want to compare your boring, stock P80 builds with aftermarket parts to my customized ones?

What's really funny is your shorts are in a bunch and why you care about anything anybody says online is telling.

No one disagrees with that, except Bongo with his infinite wisdom. "All of the people recommending using OEM parts is snake oil"
