What's going on here? I must have missed something. I don't see any trolling. He posted a comment laughing at my comment with the photos of the handguard. And it is funny.
Recently, the US Navy posted a photo of a ship's commanding officer firing an M4 with the optic mounted backwards. Funny!
Lots of similar mistakes out there. Lots of builders install the extractor depressor backwards.
A long time ago, I installed and then uninstalled a RSA guide rod laser (Lasermax) on my Glock 19. I ran it for years after that. Only after I started building P80s did I realize that on my Glock 19, I had installed the slide lock backwards! The amazing part is that the gun still ran that way... for years!
The mistake referenced in my previous comment wouldn't affect the function of the rifle at all.
We all make goofy mistakes here and there. It's OK to laugh at them... and even ourselves.
I once did a really stupid thing in a lab in school. Almost set myself on fire. I enveloped myself in a ball of flames. But I reacted quickly and only suffered a few singed hairs and a big dose of embarrassment. But.... it's still funny!
I've had more than my share of forehead-smacking moments.
