I deleted the Holosun and ordered the new Trijicon RMD HD.

Finally arrived. I’ll put some rounds thru it tomorrow. The optic is backordered.

This double stack 9mm 1911 (a.k.a. 2011) gives the Staccato a run for its money. At a little more than half the cost. Made in Israel. Very smooth, zero frame/slide slop, great trigger, light weight. The Prodigy is very good and I'm happy with it, but I like the BUL slightly better. Especially the grip. Beautifully made.

Trijicon finally arrived. I'm going to run a couple of boxes of ammo thru this BUL later today.

Lohdy loooohdy that’s a purdy looking gun
For some reason all the dimensions and angles look right.
Looks like a 1911 having tried a little bit of steroids lol

Say hello to my little friend... :)

A joke of course. As I have mentioned a few times in the past... just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

I think it makes it an abomination. The funny thing is, all it's really good for is shooting pyrotechnic rounds on the 4th of July. It's normally fixed to my Sig AR. I had removed it for cleaning. You need an adapter for flares, which I have.

But you raise an interesting question. I believe it is legal to do whatever you want with it since the launcher does not require a stamp. It's not an AOW. But you are prohibited from putting certain types of ammunition into it. Flares, smoke, and pyrotechnics are not restricted. Any sort of explosive round is prohibited.

I mounted it on my hog killer AR-10 and the fireworks rounds were a big hit around the campfire on our last night.

In my not so humble opinion, the absolute best non-custom, not made to order 1911's made. BUL Armory.

I spent my rainy morning today cleaning these.

That's it....Viking is officially packing up and moving to a red state...Not the envious type, but watching what everyone has been picking up the last couple weeks, poor old Viking can't even get rails shipped to him...RAILS!!!!!
That lever action you Picked up had me pulling out suitcases, but this...Wow! Reminds me of the Platypus, which is also on my list. Gorgeous my friend.

How did I miss this thread??? I know I stumbled on it but wasn’t paying attention.

That is a VERY nice acquisition, BL !! I will not covet…. Snort.

Hvymax you’ve got my synapses firing… quite nice to shoot .460 OR .45 ACP at will.

Carry guns for my upcoming adventure. I have been drilling with them almost daily to get better acclimated since I have been religiously carrying my Hellcat and Hellcat Pro for what must be close to 3 years now. I have nothing but praise for the Hellcat and Springfields in general, but I wanted a more refined firearm for this gig. The BUL on the left is the SAS II Ultralight and on the right is the slightly longer and heavier SAS II TAC with a spanking new Trijicon RMR HD, replacing the Trijicon RMR 2. No optic for the Ultralight. For discreet carry, less is more. Each is parked in a Safariland ALS holster. Shoulder rig for the TAC and IWB for the Ultralight.

I have been running every day and I'm up to 4 miles now. Speed is not a concern. It's just conditioning and endurance for me. Burning off some fat I accumulated. Weights twice a week. I'm really getting too old for this shit. :) But I feel great and my joints are all still in good shape. I'm pretty close to fighting weight now.

The client's itinerary was set in stone today so I know where I will be going and for how long. His digs at those destinations are rather swanky. That sounds like a lot of fun but it really isn't. You sleep when you can and there's really no 'off time'. Rented security guards keep watch at night, but these guys are not exactly special operators. You have to learn to sleep like a cat. The client is not young so fortunately there's no hanging out in clubs until 3 am watching people getting drunk and snorting coke. I've retained an acquaintance to be a backup and also do all the driving.

The contract is for six months but it may end in four. I get paid the same no matter what. So four months would be awesomer than six.

Defensive Driving can be fun. Can he 180 a limo?

If you need help I'm all in.

Probably. He has good references. It's a very small world. But he's a bit young for that. Besides... 1989 called and wanted all the town cars and limo's back. :) Security-wise, they are coffins with wheels.

Suburban, Tahoe and similar are vastly better. It can be difficult to source them outside the US though. Mercedes GLS or even better the G class are the best alternate. Land Rovers also. Four wheel drive is mandatory in my playbook. In the unlikely event of a car chase, the first order of business is to run away from the threat. Driving over curbs or through a plowed field ain't happening with a Crown Vic or LTC.
