Kimmel fired. Is it suppression of Free Speech?

Don't need to be on the clock to say something stupid and get fired. We saw plenty of that last week and during the whole DEI movement of the early 2020's. Want the statutes, Uncle Ben's. and Aunt Jemima syrup back.

Suppression of Free Speech?
Hell no! He got to say what he wanted say. The People who own the platform that he used haven't stopped him from saying anything he wants. He just can't use their platform any longer.

The question is whether the network fired him at the behest of the gov't.

The Government didn't request him to be fired. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr commented that Broadcast companies have certain responsibilities because of the license they hold. One of those responsibilities is not to distort the news, which Kimmel did when he claimed the shooter was right wing well after it was proven that he is a leftist and was in a relationship with a trans.

What is not being reported widely is that Kimmel can go back on the air as soon as he apologizes for his remarks.

Even with Carr's statement, I doubt that it had much to do with the suspension.
Networks aren't blind.
A few years ago they would kowtow to the left, but Bud Light, American Eagle, Cracker Barrel and the outpouring of support for Charlie Kirk has not gone unnoticed. They all may lean left, but money is still the bottom line.
