The serial number and caliber printed on the cylinder kind of ruins it, IMO.

I like that 22lr/22mag revolver!!

I like Taurus double action revolvers anyway, all that I've experienced. Not quite as much as I like my Smiths, but very close, and far above Colts (except the single action ones) or other brand revolvers. Well, that's not totally true, I like Ruger revolvers too.

Below is a Taurus 65 revolver I tuned, Cerakoted Tungsten Gray, and made a custom grip for. The other is a PF940v2/G17 that I did with KG Gunkote -mix of colors, mildly customized frame, and I stippled the grip.

Cool, but that's a heavy gun for such a light caliber. What would its purpose be?

With the exception of some collectibles I never shoot, I have (almost) completely divested from 22LR. The 22 Mag is superior. I love my Ruger 10/22 and would sell it in a heartbeat if the same gun came in 22 WMR. It did at one time but it was discontinued. Ruger had a lot of reliability issues with that model, so they killed it. Also most people who shoot 22LR think 22 WMR ammo is too expensive.

I confess not being into plinking. I'd rather watch grass grow or paint dry. Zzzzzz. Nor do I buy into using a 22 conversion to 'practice'. Practice what?

It might be even more interesting with a Ti frame. I have a Taurus 44 SPL in Ti that's light as a feather.

Might look at this in place of a 10/22 Mag. Discontinued last year, but it looks like CZ-USA still has some in stock. Reviews look good.

They are fun, first of all. Secondly, they are great for teaching newbies. I would love to have a S&W Model 617, which is a full-size 22LR revolver. I've also eyed a Ruger Single-Ten, a single-action 22LR revolver.

Contrarily, I've avoided 22-Mag entirely. I don't see the purpose of it. AND ammo is scarce and expensive for what it is. I don't see any advantage to 22-mag... only disadvantages. Maybe if I was taking out varmints, it might be better than 22LR. But for plinking / target shooting.... I'd rather shoot 22LR.

'Cuz it is... for what it is. :)

I agree on conversions. I am not a fan of any type of conversions. I like dedicated firearms, not convertibles.

My 22s: The 10/22 was my son's first gun. The Ruger American Rimfire (basically a bolt-action 10/22) was my daughter's first gun. The S&W 15-22 is an awesome "AR-15" style rifle that is also excellent for teaching newbies.

I have looked at the CZ. Nice rifle. I'd prefer a takedown like my 10/22 though. I have a cheap Rossi 22 wmr semi auto that had a 20 inch barrel. I cut four inches off so I could easily swing it from inside my side by side. I leave it in the SxS so it's always ready. Also a Savage 93 with a good Nikon scope that's a tack driver. Love that Accu-Trigger.

I dont have any trouble finding 22 WMR ammo. The extra cost is worth it to me. Much higher velocity. Shoots way longer and flatter than 22LR. My only purpose for any 22 rimfire caliber is varmint.

I did dabble in some NRA-style 22 bullseye shooting a long time ago. Had a couple of nice Ruger Mk IVs that were tricked out with Volquartsen upgrades. It was interesting and fun but I was too busy to be a serious competitor so I eventually sold them.

I have that same SR22, except the long slide one -I think 4.5" barrel?

Oh darn! I would have preferred a longer barrel. I don't believe that was available when I got mine.

@no4mk1t Out of curiosity I checked out the CZ 512 on most of the popular auction or gun seller site. Wow. They must be in big demand. I cant believe what some sellers are asking.

Well slap my ass and call me Nancy!

GB and a few others had used ones for 800-1200 and not many to choose from.

I may just order that from CZ. It didn’t occur to me buying direct. Thx for the tip!

I'm getting warnings that CZGUNUSA.com is a scam site. Not part of CZ.
Oh yeah... it's a scam site. I discovered it looking for the CZ 75 P-01 Omega, which was discontinued and no longer available. The key clue is that their payment acceptance of Zelle and Bitcoin.

Might have your LGS see if their distributor still has inventory or if they can ping CZUSA and check.

Look at the Savage A22. Its delayed blowback. On the 17HMR its amazing. I considered getting the A22 but the 17 better for what Im using it for..

I have a 93. I would prefer a semi-auto. The 93 is a tack driver for sure. The A22 looks good and it's not priced out of sight. If it shoots as well as the 94 I'm all over that.

The Rossi I mentioned is just fine - with one exception. The mags suck. Ive had two of them break. They are held together with screws and the screws strip out for no good reason. I had to glue them back together, which is really not something you should have to do.

I really happy with the A17. Got the heavy barrel, not heaviest barrel. Think they have 3 or 4 barrel profiles. Its crazy accurate. Similar 10/22 mag. Not bad, not as good.
ZERO -0% blowback from early open. I tried ruger 22mag, way too much pressure for straight blowback.
I can carry 2 extra mags in my 357 speed loader pouch on belt.
They delay is Similar to design of Thompson. Bimetal pressure friction blah blah.
Smoked a yote 140yds, like 2.5" drop. Right in the ear off bipod trigger stick. Minimal damage.
Shot small hog in the neck it dropped.
