Looks Interesting

I really happy with the A17. Got the heavy barrel, not heaviest barrel. Think they have 3 or 4 barrel profiles. Its crazy accurate. Similar 10/22 mag. Not bad, not as good.
ZERO -0% blowback from early open. I tried ruger 22mag, way too much pressure for straight blowback.
I can carry 2 extra mags in my 357 speed loader pouch on belt.
They delay is Similar to design of Thompson. Bimetal pressure friction blah blah.
Smoked a yote 140yds, like 2.5" drop. Right in the ear off bipod trigger stick. Minimal damage.
Shot small hog in the neck it dropped.
I debated 17 vs 22 mag for a while. Tough call. They both have merits with varmints. The 17 is faster and has the edge on trajectory. I ended up leaning toward the harder hitting of the two. Heavier bullet. Cost wise I think it's a wash.

I gave some thought to the Henry Varmint Express, which was a 17.

The added weight of barrel lends to shooting off hand. I found the accuracy to be PHENOMENAL. It prefers 17gr over 20. Doesnt like 15gr. 1 day Ill stretch it out to 200yds on raccoons. About 10" drop @200yds.

Scope?

I run Bushnell 4x18x40 AR optics. I need illuminated now and high magnification for my eyes. Still light enough to carry.

I bought two Nikon Prostaff Rimfire scopes years ago. Those are excellent scopes. Nikon exited the scope business. Nothing filled the void in rimfire. Next best thing I've found is the Vortex Crossfire. Having a reticle specifically for the 22 is nice. The Vortex gets the job done and it isn't crazy expensive.

Yeah.... bummer that Nikon got out of the scope business. I've got a few of them. They were a good value.
