My alternative to red dots - what else do you use?

I still do the 1500 candle light stinger in off hand while bracing.
Local PD gal shot a dude in the leg while attempting to turn off light last year. Which is my fear.
Of course the video shows him calling her a cunt with 1/2 step towards right before the accidental discharge.
No charges filed.
