My Precision Takedown Mac11

Since Maryland banned Mac11's as "Assault Pistols I decided to turn them into perfectly legal carbines. One of them became an exercise in how evil is it humanly possible to make a Mac 11 Carbine. I ordered a few 9mm blanks I think from Pac Nor or Douglas and got to work. It's original configuration involved making an extended receiver for a Polish AK under folder stock and a free-float forend. It worked well enough but the ergos sucked and it would only do 4-6"@100yds. I knew I could do better. Having a Dan Wesson since the 80's I was familiar with sleeved and tensioned barrels. It pretty much eliminates the harmonics and stiffens the barrel. It also needed a scope. My Dan Wesson loaned it a 2-7x Bushnell(later replaced with a red dot). I made an offset riser for the G3 drum rear and offset an AR front sight. I also chopped the under folder for better ergos and threaded the barrel. I also added a ball detent to the front trunnion so it could be takedown.
The MUZI only needed a $10 Uzi furniture set and a free-float forend to be a really sweet handling carbine.

It was 4-6"@100yds originally. After sleeving and tensioning about 1" with Lawman ammo. The "flyer" was the bore sight shot. Once I saw the group over 4 and up 6 clicks had it dead nuts

I'm still trying to wrap my head around "precision" and "mac11" being used in the same sentence...

Nice! I have an MPA mac 10 (.45 ACP). Very cool. I’d like to do something like this.
