My son just sent me this- is it factual

Yes, old news. Lawsuits to get those items off the NFA as it will be a zero tax and you can't have a tax at zero so, in theory and probably intentional, those items will no longer be on the NFA. However, if those items are not firearms, in particular suppressors, the states can ban them.
Some states already banned suppressors so the zero tax update isn't going to impact the states that hate the Constitutiuon.

Fair warning: Glocks and Glock clones may become less reliable when running a suppressor. Or become finicky about ammo.

The conventional wisdom is a factory Glock with the right suppressor can run reliably. A Glock that's been fucked with, which would include all PMFs, may not bring you the joy of silence you seek. Barrels, slides, springs, and fitment all matter when you attach a can. So before you drop 800 bucks hoping for pffft pffft, consider the risks of it not working the way you expected.

A Glock will absolutely require a Nielsen device. A simple threaded adapter is not likely to work well.

IF suppressors ever drop off the NFA list, I'd get one for this:

Mine runs just fine.
Of course, if your can matches the gun, the chances of it functioning properly are greatly increased.... ;)

Liberty Mystic. Multi caliber rated.
I bought it mainly to use on the 357 Marlin.
That one doesn't require firing a shot. Just get close and give them a subtle-but-effectual thump on the noggin and it's "lights out". snort

(Cue UFO...)
