We went to visit as the owners had just moved the business to a 10x+ bigger bldg and we wanted to check it out. Their original location was approx the size of a 1.5 car garage, and it was always packed with gear and more than 3 people in there at a time was stifling.

So, while I'm checking-out a 'used but still new' SA Garrison that was beckoning me, Sweetpea was asking the owner about a few small pew pews....and got my attention. I asked her "is there something you like over there, dear?"

"Yes." With glee, of course. She picked a brand-new (just arrived that day) SIG P365. This one is the black variant with night sights, and RDO ready. after handing it and cycling it with a gorgeous grin, I looked at the owner and said "Let's wrap it up". The 9mm variant of course.

She's so jazzed. Now to skin that smoke wagon..

I'm so glad she didn't opt for a Hellcat. They are phenomenal, yet I understand they are more snappy than the P365, so the SIGGY will be better for her, IMO. It DOES handle well.

My daughter is very petite. I wrote about our search for a gun for her. She tried my friend's 365XL Macro. Didn't like it. I don't recall why, though.

We ended up getting her a CZ75 P01. She shot a friend's CZ75 P01 and liked it. She likes it but now we've noticed the controls are hard for her to manipulate. Racking the slide is difficult because it's quite short (height - top to bottom), so there's not much surface area to grab. She really can't work the decocker, either. Too stiff for her. I'm afraid the CZ was a mistake. Also the double action trigger mode is stiff and difficult for her. Single action is no problem, of course. But if she decides to stop shooting, the decocker is difficult.

I have a feeling the search will continue anew at some point. Maybe revisit the 365 or similar.

held a Hellcat at my LGS and did not like it at all.
Then I tried the Echelon and loved it.
Two completely different units from the same MFG...the sight pictures look virtually identical though.
I could see maybe getting her the Compact Echelon later, unless she wants to take over the Echelon I already have.
