I've been looking at these as one option for my .45 Officers 1911 clone. While I was going to go a different and somewhat less costly direction, it just so happened that a forum vendor online had a deal on this very holster (had only one of them); and while Wilson is currently discounting this very holster, I acquired mine for substantially less than the currently posted Wilson sale price, no CC fee, AND the seller threw-in 2-Day FedEx shipping. I gleefully received it from the FedEx carrier lady just after lunchtime.

So jazzed. Just got through giving it the Galco Draw-Ez treatment and plastic wrap around the sidearm...which it fit pretty well but just a tad too snug. Now it's perfect:

Though it has a bigger footprint (width) than the one I was considering for purchase, Daddy LIKE! Now for the appropriate gunbelt.

Linky no worky for me right now.

Regardless, I suggest looking at KoreEssentials.com for great gunbelt options. I have four of them and they're excellent!

Problem rectified. My user error..

This will likely be the first of a few purchases for the Officers model. But It gets my .45 in rotation now.

I'll look at that choice you mentioned. Thanks!

That’s a nice rig. Looks like it will ride nice and tight to your body. I particularly like the shark trim. Then again, all but one of my leather holsters has shark trim.

Yup, works now. That's a nice rig and congratulations. Did you get a matching mag holster, too?

No, that will be after a proper gun belt, methinks. The vendor I purchased this from didn't have those on offer. And Thanks, though I didn't properly stage the shot 'cocked and locked'.... The sharkskin trim is addictive, no? I'm going to have to get a matching mag holster, fo' sho'!

Sadly, I don't think Wright leatherworks offers that option on their holsters.

I’m using a normal casual 1.25” belt right now and carrying around the property here for “getting acquainted”; one thing I find amazingly welcoming is that this holster (of course) hugs closer than a pancake, but it also supports the weight so well that I have no perception of an all-steel .45 on my belt. Aside from the difference in size, it perceptibly carry’s like the Sig 938 as far as weight, in spite of the significant weight difference. This is nice!

Can’t wait to get a better belt for this. And the matching mag carrier, and an Anaconda, and…

As mentioned in post #2, try out KoreEssentials.com. Lots of styles and options to choose from, even for those needing to dress up for the office, church, etc. and well worth the cost. You won't find a better gun belt! I have four of them in various colors and styles.

“…than a pancake” I meant a paddle holster.

This IS a pancake style and, having used it a number of times now, I’m impressed even more with how well it distributes weight. SO MUCH BETTER than a paddle would for this weight of sidearm. My all steel officers with this holster, carries more like a G19 in percepted weight. It’s almost as if it’s not even there: I’m sure a good gun belt will add to that factor even more.

If you’re on the fence about spending more than $100 on a carry holster, the adage ‘buy once, cry once’ certainly applies.

Carried this a number of times now, and I'm still stunned how well the holster supports an all-steel Officer's 1911.

Today I just received a good belt from Relentless Tactical. They are 100% USA made, have a lifetime warranty, and are reasonably priced against the competition. (I almost bought a belt from Hank's.) Just got this thing on about an hour ago, and the holster support factor even improved w/a 1.5" all leather gun belt. Yes they are on Amazon. Nice packaging, and a barcode scan to take you right to their site to register your lifetime warranty. The belt I ordered is the black double-tap (two rows of holes instead of one).

Very nice. So far, I can definitely recommend it.
