Didn't try very hard to find replacement springs.
Opened up the budget otf, took the little itty bitty springs out and gave them a little stretch.
I am surprised I didn't lose them.
Action has been 100% since.

Also added small pieces of 3M SAFTY-WALK grip tape to the switches of the elite and fireball (slipped in my wet hand) like paint or other adhesives prep. is key to getting the tape to stay.
 
After giving both the in and out catch springs a stretch the retract spring/catch has been 100% and the out catch failed 3 times.
I'm going to give them a little more stretch and keeping eyes open for stronger springs.
Cool beater knife I have no fear of trashing or loosing.
