Pocket carry = pocket holster?

I've never heard of a state law pertaining to or requiring a holster. Which states?
I hae read in the Texas law that Texas requires a holster and I was told by a state trooper that Arkansas and Oklahoma do as well. I guess I just assumed that #1 the super trooper was a reliable source and #2 that many other states do as well .

I know, assuming makes an ass..........

There's conflicting info. The site called The Gun Zone is total bullshit 90% of the time. I think it's a clickbait site. Most of their articles are not factual. They suggest nearly every state requires a holster. I don't believe that's true.

Its appears there are some states that do require a holster. Mostly blue. CA, WA, OR, NJ, IL, MD, DE, VA. Maybe some others. You have to check your own state regs. They are all different and it appears there are 'circumstances' where a holster is or is not required that vary from state to state. There is no Federal requirement for a holster to be used.

I realized NC requires a holster. I don't really care because I always use one for safety and reliability reasons. Unless I'm wearing a Speedo.

WTF is this? It appears to be stuck INTO the barrel.

Man, I hate it when I see shit like this.

Looks like a screw-on comp with rails and a fat washer on it. All the extra weight on the end of a tilt-barrel gun? That's a FTF/FTE malfunction waiting to happen.

More importantly, how does that thing clear the holster? It doesn't. He has to remove the Sidelok to draw. That's what the button on the front is for. That's a quick release rifle accessory for carbines.

This dude is a mall ninja and over accessorizer who thinks guns are toys. If he ever needs to defend himself, he's dead or going to the ER.

CORRECTION: That's a muzzle brake for a rifle with rails on it. Not a comp. What a dildoe.

It looks like an optic connected to it, too! And what's the little tail appendage thingy at the bottom?

I wondered that, as well.

I'm still trying to find that holster. Crye Precision doesn't have it on their website.

The thing sticking out on the front of the optic mount is the quick release lever. Push it in, the optic is released. I've seen those before, But never on a pistol.

Here's what the brake looks like with nothing attached. Total piece of junk. Airsoft gadget for pretend warriors. This device does absolutely nothing. Serves no useful purpose.

That forward grip... nice way to lose a finger. Burn your knuckles when the hot gas comes out of those holes. In this configuration, that could be considered a vertical grip if somebody with the Atee Eph got persnickety. That would make the gun an AOW and require a stamp.

That holster is a plastic variation of the much maligned Yaqui holster championed by The Colonel. Jeff Cooper.

Why would you mount an accessory (like an optic) to the BARREL???

You wouldn't. The Browning tilt barrel design used by just about everyone doesn't work reliably with extra weight on the end. This is why a lot of suppressors cause malfunctions with striker guns. A Neilson device is often needed for a handgun to work reliably with a can. Although... some of the newest suppressor designs mitigate the need for a piston.

I'm guessing that pic is intended as a gag. I doubt the pistol would even function past one shot with all that hanging off the barrel.
