Article Link! Porsche Blames Electrification For Deepening Crisis

I'll offer a similar comparison :) Everything, including us, have a place in time. And then we or it are gone.

The world moves on. The past is interesting but never as great as we remember it.
Sure, but if the choice was against an F4U Corsair........
Nobody calls a newer fighter the "Whistling Death"

Probably not. Because it's so fast and stealth they are dead before they see or hear it. :)

The old warbirds... take your pick... were state of the art in their day. But like the Chevy, those days are gone.

The weapon of choice for a soldier was once a sword. Cannons for sailors of tall ships. All gone. Some hate the idea of a drone delivering their shit from Amazon, a pizza, or a driverless truck delivering the lumber for a new deck. But it's going to happen like it or not.

When that time comes, along with EVs, we may all be farting into the Lay-Z-Boy and shouting at the TV all day. If there are any TVs left.

They won't let you check lithium batteries in your luggage.... but sure.... I'll fly on a giant lithium battery.

NOT.

Lewi's next truck? Won't be ready to ship until the END of 2026 so I wouldn't get my hopes up of EVER receiving one. :( Video is longer (43min) but Rich does get a lot of good info on it such as how customizable it will be with many "bolt-on" points incorporated in the body. Price projected to start at around $25k. RWD only.

I need 4x4 and ground clearance. Wont work for me.

I am close to selling the Wrangler and getting a Tesla Model Y. Street use only. Probably in the Fall. I'll keep the Gladiator for off road.

Discoveries such as powered flight and drifting continents today only appear sane and acceptable because we have such powerful hindsight. These same advancements were seen as obviously a bunch of nonsense or imminent failures during the years they were first discovered.

I have no beef with those who say they will never buy an EV. Walking is good exercise for grumpy old men! :)

There is one they show with optional 2" lift and I think beefier tires. EVERYTHING is optional which of course will raise the price depending on how many boxes you check off. IF it ever makes it to market...

I like the custom, build to order concept. My guess is they wont make it, and know it. The investors will make money off patents. It's a fairly common business model now. You start a business for the sole reason of someone acquiring your IP.

They wont let you check jet fuel in your luggage either.

Haha.... touche!

Funny... when I was a kid, I was into Estes model rockets. The solid rocket motors, I believe, were made with black powder.

At the time I lived in Venezuela, and the only place I could get these motors were in the USA. So on visits to the US, I'd load up and bring them back to Venezuela. I carried them ON the plane... in my carry-on! This was back in the 70s. I'm talking at least 10-15 pounds of the stuff! On the plane... under my feet!
