wow... leave to commiefornia to complicate something worse than it has to be. is this supposed to "save lives" or something? pardon my ignorance, but I usually make a point to avoid anything Commiefornia
 
I think it's rather clever. A stripper clip sort of thing for an AR. A non removable magazine filler.

The problem is .... even more nimrods will begin calling mags clips!
 
Is there something like that for an SKS? Not that I've show mine lately but curious.

Never seen that. Not sure it would be worth the cost of developing it given the ratio of ARs to SKS owners out there in Gunland.

The stripper clips are pretty easy to load and it's fast. I picked up a half dozen of them off eBay. I also never shoot my SKS. It's a battlefield pickup that belonged to a family friend and VN vet who gave it to me before he passed. I did a respectful resto on it then hung it on the wall. I found patches in the butt stock that were made out of clothing. I put them back in when I finished working on the gun. It was little rusty as pickups often were but the bore isnt too bad. No cosmoline. It sat in the guy's closet for 40+ years.

I put some rounds thru it to make sure it worked reliably and left it at that. I only used the strippers I bought once.
