Exactly, 15 minutes? It’s more like 45 and you can never plan the perfect charge to maintain the proper percentage per your battery health, projected miles, when you are using the car like a real car.
If you use your EV like a novelty, a vibrator, golf cart or a bicycle for a few miles a day or live on an island like Hawaii maybe these EV’s make sense but so would horses, but to replace fossil fuels it’s like harvesting bees in a speedo.
3 minutes to fill a gas tank…..do the math, in a day one pump at a gas station could fill 400+ cars in roughly 450 sq/ft with proper traffic flow lanes to access in and out etc and drive 300 to 400 miles.
No more gasoline, EV cars parked in a huge parking lot waiting for unknown charge times 15 to 45 minutes each (while kids in the car rage, shit, fight, eat, scream). Now you are down to 30 to 90+ per pump/charger and charging more frequently.
Traffic flow? you are suffering with a reduction in services per sqft, which means more charging stations per pump eliminated by what 3:1? More acreage of property. It goes on and on…
Racer, you will need to plan for a life of car, centered around your car which is on all the time, cooling, heating, texting, costing, paying subscriptions, fixing, charging your car. You must learn to be one with your car. Charge it at home, upgrade your power to fast chargers, plug in at work, monitor your %, manage your charges for optimum battery health, avoid driving in heat or cold. You must wear your car like your underwear and like your underwear you must keep it dry so your car doesn’t explode.
(WARNING; this rough math and logic was done by someone without a masters degree in engineering therefore it should be disregarded).
