Yeah, think someone eff'd up that explanation in that second photo, or it got truncated.
Not at the same time obviously. Palm out becomes awkward the higher you raise your arm.
Today, you could use palm out for friends, and palm in for Democrats. I doubt they will take the time to look it up...
