Reality check:

In 3 years of throwing everything they have at the Ukraine, this is the current area occupied by Russia. At the cost of a million casualties, 10,000 tanks, 20,000APCs and a complete depletion of its artillery rounds to the point the Russians are relying on 60-year old North Korean rounds

Its inability to advance on a country on its own border makes the argument that Russia is any threat to an air-dominent and nuclear-armed NATO (nevermind the US as Zelensky stupidly proffered) not credible on its face.

To eject Russia from its entrenched positions will take one of the following to occur:

1. A ground assault that will kill several hundred thousand more Ukranians combined with air assets that only the West can provide, pushing Russia to the point where the use of nuclear weapons becomes a very real option.

2. A negotiated settlement involving a combination of massive investment in Ukraine and the choice of deepening or loosening of embargos on Russia depending on their actions

For those who cry “Munich conference appeasement” may I remind you that Hitler did not have nuclear missiles.

Putin does, that is a reality that must be factored into decision making.

What happened yesterday was a wake-up call to those who preach endless war and endless US funding by an American President who understands the folly of this stalemate.

Another spring offensive and another 300 billion, from anyone, won’t eject Putin. And escalation risks nuclear war.

Zelensky walked away from a half a trillion dollar investment in his country and a peace that stops the slaughter of his citizens when he knows full well these realities.

Ask yourself why and ask yourself who is actually the unreasonable, irrational, unhinged leader in this situation.

It is not a difficult question to answer.

Without our involvement and aid, Russia would have waltzed through Ukraine in a matter of a few days. Without our help, Ukraine had NOTHING to fight back WITH.

And we should IMMEDIATELY cut off ALL aid to Ukraine. I mean right fucking now.

Aren’t the people in eastern Ukraine ethnically Russian or Russian speaking. Maybe they could decide for themselves what flag they want to live under.

Exactly... we stay out of it. We cut off ALL aid (which we should have never sent in the first place).

We never seem to get the other side of these conflicts. Judging from what we get from our own media there is no telling the amount of spin they put on what is really going on.

In that meeting yesterday JD Vance said to Zelensky "You are forcing conscripts to the front lines." Maaannnn that hit me. On April 3rd 2023 i was dispatched to a call for this truck. He cut the corner short and was stuck on a pole. The truck was blocking Wells St. so I moved it by the order of PD. The driver was probably early 50's and seemed VERY distraught. It wasn't uncommon for a guy in his situation to be a little off, but this wasn't that big of a deal and he was borderline freaking out. He had an accent so I knew he was not from here. I told him the price. He pulled an envelope out with cash. The cost of the recovery was almost all the money he had. I asked where he was from. He told me he was from Ukraine and had only been in the United States 3 weeks. He was not a citizen, but was here legally. He said it was very hard to earn a living here. I asked if he moved to get away from the Russian attacks and he said no. He moved to get away from the Ukrainian government. He told me Russia was primarily attacking government buildings and property, but occasionally there were civilian casualties as well. The real danger was Zelensky. Zelensky would have the military pull up on a busy street with usually 2-3 buses. Military would get out and force all the men they found on to the bus. You got on and you were sent to fight Russia. If you went to fight Russia, Russian military would easily kill you. If you resisted getting on the bus the Ukrainian military would kill you. It was a death sentence either way. He told me the military got his son in law. He was killed days later. Shocked by his story, I lowered his bill to the minimum I could charge without being questioned and handed him some money back. The guy legitimately started crying as he shook my hand and thanked me. JD Vance knows the corrupt monster Zelensky is. Don't believe this media bullshit. Watch the full Tucker Carlson interview with Putin. You'll understand why he's going after Ukrainian government.
