Thanks for clarifying that, good to know definitively. When I found the jig listing I was trying to verify if it was compatible with the PF940V2, and found a Reddit post that mentioned the other frames. I should of checked here first. I took a chance and ordered 1 and was grateful it was actually marked as the PF940V2 jig, so I ordered another.

My first "stupid" question in this forum, spurred from above conversation. Other than aesthetics, if I mistakenly drilled an extra hole, or in wrong place, as long as it didn't affect another pin hole location, would it affect the functionality?

P.S. Thanks Michele for sharing above link regarding repairing frame "mishaps". It had some interesting tips, and gave me a little more confidence that I can fix my frame when I screw up drilling that 1st hole! I bought 3 frames figuring the 1st one would be a learning experience. I have to get back to watching all of MGB's videos, hopefully I can achieve the first time quality standard.

We take all questions here, none are stupid. Stupid is not asking šŸ˜‰. Use caution when looking for information on Reddit , many donā€™t have a clue on building firearms. Thereā€™s a lot of experience and knowledge at PGB. Members are here to help and support each other. Ask any and all questions

An extra or misplaced hole shouldnā€™t affect functionality however, you want to build the best quality you can. If you make a mistake just fix it using one of the repair methods feather in and polish to make it disappear. Enjoy your build journey.

I kept a couple of my jigs for the just in case and have them packed away on the shelf. I've also done 4 1911s, and have the jigs and rail cutter for those metal frames. Hopefully we get away from the gun hating administrations and are allowed to buy fun stuff again.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Gun building is a lot like restoration and custom car building, or building race cars. Not quite the latter, because a race car is hugely expensive by thousand-folds. But, it is a lot like fiddling with your street car, or an antique.

The upside of gun building is that you don't have to insure it, register it (for now), or have a big garage or home owners association rules preventing it from being placed in a driveway. Guns are cheaper than cars, hold their value better, and don't require a full auto shop of tools to finish.

To be honest, I think this argument should be made by one of the lawyers pleading the frame rule to the SC. It defines it in a realistic analogy as to what custom gun building is to a segment of gun owners.
