USA! USA!
I am mad at myself for forgetting to tune in to the game this morning. I missed it! FUCK!

We beat Canada 2-1 in overtime! So we beat those shitbird Canadians who BOO'ed our National Anthem last year in both the women's AND men's divisions for the GOLD MEDAL. Go fuck yourselves, Canada (and my mom's side is Canadian). Here's the winning goal. (Must be watched on YouTube, apparently)

I didn't know about this. Apparently, one of the USA team members was murdered by a drunk driver.

Game is being rebroadcast right now on the USA network channel.

I watched the replay, last few minutes and the overtime period. Great game. Both teams hung it all out.

I remember the 1980 game like it was yesterday, watched it live on a gigantic 19" console TV.

In STARK contrast of so many of the American Olympic athletes.

I used to be an AVID Olympics fan. I watched them most of my life... glued to the TV into the wee hours even on school or work nights.

Now, I watch exactly zero minutes of the Olympics. The recent and current athletes are a disgrace.

I didn't watch the game, haven't really watched anything Olympics in decades, but I did make sure to offer condolences to my Canadian friend.😁

Condolences? Canadian fans BOO'ED our National Anthem last year. No condolences. More like a very well deserved comeuppance. Fuck Canada and Canadians. I've lost all respect for them, and my mom's side of the family is Canadian.

The US Woman's Hockey team took home the gold as well! :) (y)

I listened to/watched a few of the events while I worked. Happened to notice it while channel surfing so left it there. Mostly women's contests as I was watching later in the evening. The one men's event was team speed skating and caught my attention because of what looked like a huge camel toe then I realized it was a guy with the middle seam of his tight suit splitting him right down the middle (of his sac). I wasn't deliberately looking at their junk, it was just blatantly obvious. :D

I caught a lot of women's figure skating. I don't remember ANY of the athlete's names, BTW. ;) The US bitch that was political didn't do well and I didn't realize it was her until afterwards. She struck me as a whiney crybaby in her bio and afterskate interviews. The US 20yo woman that won the gold had taken like 2 years off to chill and find herself after her first Olys. She easily gained 20lbs in that time. Her bio/interview just showed this mellow, happy chick and she skated the same way, smile on her face the whole time like she was having fun. :) She DESERVED the gold, IMO. šŸ„‡

I think I saw the women's bobsled gold and that chick was a beast.

Watched a couple women's ski events and it was snowing hard for every one of them. :) A new one was "Ski-Mo".
The "Sprint" I watched started by cross-country skiing uphill, then at a point they remove the skis and stow them, then climb a set of "stairs", then at a point they put the skis back on and cc to the top at which point they strip these anti-slide "skins" off the skis, click into solid bindings and ski down a "slow" giant slalom type of course to the bottom, first one down wins. The gal in the lead (and #1 seed) had trouble during one of the transitions and the gal in second (and #2 seed) got the jump on her and also the gold. :)
