Just trying to price out a complete OEM glock 19 slide. Looking for pricing on standard G19 and MOS models.

Your best bet for scoring one is to look on GB and ebay. I'm seeing several Gen 4 complete slides on there. If you need Gen 3 for a build, the search might be longer.

Here's OEM gen 3 MOS. You will also need a barrel and gen 3 recoil spring. I have the G34 version of this, it is boring but reliable.

Glock slides are not the best of what’s available.
In fact, I’d say their slides have gone downhill over the last few years. The machine work on the hood of the slide is messy compared to what’s out there. If you haven’t tried some good aftermarket slides you should. The material they use seems to have a greater propensity to rust and they only make boring duty based designs.

Glock does have the best trigger housings and trigger bars. Their slide internal parts are good but their firing pins, except large frame pins, are less than ideal and have a tendency to break at the tip and the lug. Their frames are solid too.

I said "Glock is the standard" never said they are the best.

Well... so are their frames (lowers). The boys over on GlockTalk would say, "Just buy a Glock!" ;)
Yep. And they would be right. :)

There's some logic to buying a used factory Glock. You start with a working gun you can take to the range. Then if you just want to change out the grip frame, a monkey could do it. People who start with a working gun might decide that there's little to be gained in starting with a bag of parts.

Yes, it is a standard. Think the aftermarket has passed them in many cases with the exceptions above. Forgot to mention the GPT, best trigger for modifications and best single action Glock trigger design. It’s good as is but has lots of room for improvement.
