While my Subaru is in the body shop (due to being rear-ended a week ago), I have a rental car. It's a Buick Envision. What a piece of shit. It's very similar to my Outback in terms of size, utility, and even price (I looked it up).
But holy shit... ergonomics suuuuuuuck. The engine and transmission... suuuuuuuuck.
This is my view of the dashboard in the Buick Envision. And that's with the steering wheel ALL the way up. I'm about 5'8". How does this shit make it through development with the American car companies?!??

I can't read the Speedo past 55 mph. And the digital speedo reading (center) is obscured completely. I have to move my head down to see them! Did the engineers and design team ever sit in this car? It doesn't matter which way I move the adjustable steering wheel.... it will obscure part of the speedo / tach.
WOW... what a difference. Night and day.... in terms of the build quality... and especially the DRIVE quality. Subaru wins by miles and miles.
For comparison... My view in the Subaru:

The seat should lower to see the gauges better. It's a button on the side of the seat. Shaped like a seat bottom.
I was teasing. I'm sure you know your way around the controls. Buicks are designed for soccer moms. Real men drive pick up trucks.Ummm.... yeah... I know how to adjust a car seat.![]()
The ONE thing that is better is the back-up camera display.![]()
Did it have the 360 surround video display?
Overhead 360 view ranks just behind a washed and dried tush in my world.No. But I've been in cars that do. I have to say that is a very cool feature.
My Subie Outback has a rear AND a FRONT camera. But not 360-degree overhead view.
Coming soon... bidet with 360-degree camera and monitor.... and AI targeting of "cling-ons."Overhead 360 view ranks just behind a washed and dried tush in my world.
That gets me as excited as Greta moves Bongo Lewi. Just to be clear, I don't need the video, I'm good with trusting the AI guided camera to do its job.Coming soon... bidet with 360-degree camera and monitor.... and AI targeting of "cling-ons."
What about an AI override with a game-boy style controller and VR goggles? That gets me as excited as Greta moves Bongo Lewi. Just to be clear, I don't need the video, I'm good with trusting the AI guided camera to do its job.
Man, I'm screwed then.@Racer88 No adjustable seats for you! Electric motors and a battery are involved

But what if it grabs a hemmer instead of a klinger?!?...I don't need the video, I'm good with trusting the AI guided camera to do its job.
Good heavens I hope it doesn't switch to the hedge trimmer...But what if it grabs a hemmer instead of a klinger?!?![]()
