She's my shiny pride and joy!
Probably should have taken some pictures in the sunlight to really showcase the shine but oh well, haha

A little photoshop enhancement:

- Slide Lock: Cross Armory Extended Slide Lock - SILVER
- Trigger Housing: Shadow Systems Gen3 Trigger Housing with upgraded ejector

I have a Milspin Backplate coming for her and will update the pics with that when it gets here.

I think that is everything..?
As you can see I'm quite fond of Cross Armory, Lol

Magazine baseplate is from NDZ and is appropriately stamped with the Anarchy symbol. To add a bit more comedy the mag itself is LE surplus.

Have you done all the function checks (snap-caps) and safety tests?

Yep, everything checked out and I took her to the range Wednesday and she shot great. Not a single malfunction.

Except for a failure to slide lock on my MAGPUL Glock mag which I promptly tossed back into my range bag and ignored for the rest of the outing. Not the gun's fault though, I've always had issues with those pieces of junk.

When the Magpul Glock mags first came out, I bought five of them. All five of them turned my otherwise infallible Gen 2 Glock 19 into a jam-o-matic. Multiple failures-to-feed with every loaded mag.

Shadow Systems and so many other people SWEAR that they are quality mags but my experience has shown me that they are anything but. Unreasonably hard to load the last couple rounds and constant random failures to lock my slide back on any of the Glocks I've run them through. My OEMs don't do any of that "funny stuff".

I'll stick to OEM

Yep. Me, too. And OEM mags are only a few bucks more than the Magpuls. But the Magpuls could be good for malfunction clearance training!

True! That's why mine haven't ended up in the trash.

Took a bit for this one to get sent to me but it was 10000% worth the wait. It looks gorgeous, their stuff is awesome!

Bought their weighted "Beef Jones" mag plates and Glassbreaker mag plates as well. Good quality stuff. Can't use the Beef Jones plates for anything serious though cause they were causing my otherwise perfect SSDR920 to have failures to lock back on empty. Probably because of the excess weight or something internally keeping the follower from getting up high enough.

How do you like the optic? Debating on getting one for my p80 but honestly never really used one on a handgun. Just curious if they are worth the money or not.

Optics really are a game changer. Just make sure you get one of decent quality and definitely don't cheap out if you plan to use the gun for serious use (duty or defense).

Absolutely 100% worth the money. Optics are the future no matter what fudds tell you. Lol

This is an oddly and unnecessarily "contentious" topic.

At 60 years old, my eyes definitely prefer an optic. I can't focus on the front sight unless I use my "top focal" shooting glasses, which have the "bifocal" lens at the top instead of the bottom. They work a charm! But I won't have those in a defensive situation.

I've converted to an optic for my EDC.

My advice... get training with a private instructor and practice... a LOT.

The key with shooting with a "dot" is to focus on the target. Do NOT try to "co-witness" your iron sights and your dot. In fact, forget the iron sights are even there. Target focus and work on getting your presentation dialed in and consistent. The dot will simply appear over the target.

I am faster with a dot than irons. Much faster.

The cool part... once you've trained and gotten your presentation consistent so the dot just appears... It will make you a better and FASTER irons shooter, too.

Last bit of advice: Ignore the naysayers. They don't know what they're talking about. Really. They don't.

PS... change the battery once / year, and it will never "die" on you. Just like your smoke detectors.

Any good brands you Recommend?

Trijicon may even be the platinum or titanium standard. I have a Holosun on a range toy and have been happy with it. I also have some cheaper things (including a Sig Romeo on an AR9 which isn't a $100 optic, but at $145 is close). I don't think it matters what you spend. Figure out what you are going to do with it and perform due diligence accordingly. If you can only afford a $100 optic for an EDC and test it out to your standards, go for it -- it's your life. For a range toy, it matters for enjoyment but otherwise, meh. I still need to test fire an 80% AR10 that I put an inexpensive TRUGLO red/green illuminated scope on. Not planning to head into any serious confrontations with it. Just wanted to try it out. Heck, I have a Styer SSG 69 that I bought used and which has an inadequate scope (though it out performs me). Everything is relative!
