What's with the Micro Dagger? They aren't talking. Good grief! They announced this model half a year ago.

Is Glock suing them? It's the only thing I can think of that might explain the silence.

Sure looks that way. They make and sell the slides, but the frames are apparently made from unobtanium.
Polymer80 had to stop with the PF9ss, right? Because of the slide lock spring, I think... still patented.

I know I've seen complete guns before but they sell out about 5 minutes after they are in stock. You can get a slide to toss on a single stack P80, they have been in stock regularly. Mags have been available steadily lately.

I like the PSA Compact lower and was hoping the Micro would be similarly designed. No joy.

It would not come as a shock that Glock's lawyers are holding this up. The G43 is a more recent model. They might have made a case that PSA was infringing on some patent.

I may have to go with the PF9SS. I have the slide already. Or just wait. I always liked the G43 and was hoping to try a variant of it.

There’s an integral comp micro dagger slide coming, and a g48 length one still to be previewed. I suggest just allocating significantly more funds toward the g43/43x/48 category than you had planned and expand into a category, rather than a single frame or configuration.

And yeah, also get a Pf9ss or two somewhere, potentially even with an upgraded front rail/locking block.

At the gun show Saturday and found a dealer with a table full of Glocks and several 43X's. Paying cash got me some $$ off, enough to cover the sales tax.
Ordered the Micro Dagger mags from PSA. Now I have a 15 shot that is only a smidge bigger than the 7 shot PF9SS.

The magazine body is steel with a polymer base and polymer frontispiece that provides a polymer notch for the mag catch, unlike the Shield Arms option that requires a steel mag catch.

To be fair, you're comparing it to a PFSS with a mag extension. The 43X is actually quite a bit bigger, eh?

Yes, because that is the way I use it. Gives your pinky somewhere to perch and 1 extra round. There is also a +2 extension.
With mags out of both. the tape measure says the 43X is 1/2" longer.

I've got a PF9SS frame and lower parts. But I haven't gotten a slide / barrel for it. I'll eventually build it, just to build it and have it. But I've got other builds "on deck" with a higher priority.

I ran out of excuses and KM had a sale on slides. I'm in the Single Stack for the least amount possible. For sure, the PSA slide is a lot nicer than the blocky KM Tactical slide. We'll see how it performs, maybe I'll get a PSA slide for the style points.

My final thoughts are that my Kahr PM9 is still king of the single stack hill. It is a little shorter in grip and length, better trigger, and it feels a lot better in my hand. I have many flawless rounds down range with the Kahr. I'm not too keen on carrying a homemade gun. That is a personal choice because I have other options.

As I've posted here... I'm sort of carrying a "home made" gun. But it's a 100% / serialized P80 frame. So, it's a serialized gun that I assembled with all OEM internal parts. The slide / barrel are aftermarket. I did this because nobody made exactly what I wanted.

I would agree with you regarding a PMF (80% / unserialized) as a carry gun. Even though it's completely legal... I'd rather hedge my bets.

More ammo is always better. Better but in most cases not a necessity.

The 43X is an excellent handgun. My only reasons for building a PF9SS are that building vs. buying a finished firearm interests me; and, running out of patience waiting for the Dagger Micro lower to become available. I've commented before that matching the quality and reliability of a factory-made Glock takes some effort.

I have a 43x so I'm going to look into those PSA mags. PSA sells Magpul with their other Daggers.

The bottom line is I just like guns. I gave up fast cars and fancy women. Or was it fancy cars and fast women?

I find this a little amusing because when the Glock first came out, the prevailing sentiment was "I ain't carrying no Tuperware gun". Now it's regarded as the epitome of reliability.
In my case, the first one I built was with no tuning, tinkering or improving. It took a little over 100 rounds to sort itself out and run smooth. The second one I tuned, tinkered, and improved, and it ran flawlessly from the get go. I've had factory guns that needed a "break-in" period before they were reliable too.

My Kahr MK9 Elite is one of my all-time favorites in the small 9 category. A really well built all-metal pistol.

I am startig to see reliability issue with PSA mags on Reddit. Problem seems to be rough finish inside where polymer weld/glue to the metal. Solution looks like is to sand high spot down with sand paper.

Just got the mags today. I'll shoot them this weekend and see how they do.
Just looking down inside with the follower depressed, I don't see any obvious roughness.
