Bought and built this PF940SC (G26) kit a while back and have only used it with an Advantage Arms 22LR slide assembly. Fired a few hundred rounds trouble-free but it has very different workings in the slide compared to stock 9mm.
Finally putting this 9mm Lone Wolf Alpha Wolf slide and barrel on (with OEM upper parts kit). The slide goes on past the slide lock, but will not pull back relative to the barrel, as shown. The barrel starts to drop, but then it is impeded by ...something. With the barrel out, it operates fine, pulling rounds from the magazine and hucking them out the top and the hammer cocks and fires with the trigger.
I thought maybe the barrel was catching on a sharp edge of the slide opening so I filed away a bit underneath (pictured), to no effect. Before I go and ruin parts that are out of production, what could be jamming it up at this point of travel? Unfortunately I don't have a factory Glock slide or barrel to try and really don't want to have to buy them just to test parts I don't want. Lower parts are all as provided with the P80 kit, no customization besides the slide and barrel.
I'm generally handy including precision stuff like rebuilding automatic transmissions, but I've only maintained firearms (long guns) and never significantly modified or built one up like this so I don't fully know the mechanism inside and out. Any ideas?
Please let me know if any other photos, video, or tests would help clarify.
