Bought and built this PF940SC (G26) kit a while back and have only used it with an Advantage Arms 22LR slide assembly. Fired a few hundred rounds trouble-free but it has very different workings in the slide compared to stock 9mm.

Finally putting this 9mm Lone Wolf Alpha Wolf slide and barrel on (with OEM upper parts kit). The slide goes on past the slide lock, but will not pull back relative to the barrel, as shown. The barrel starts to drop, but then it is impeded by ...something. With the barrel out, it operates fine, pulling rounds from the magazine and hucking them out the top and the hammer cocks and fires with the trigger.

I thought maybe the barrel was catching on a sharp edge of the slide opening so I filed away a bit underneath (pictured), to no effect. Before I go and ruin parts that are out of production, what could be jamming it up at this point of travel? Unfortunately I don't have a factory Glock slide or barrel to try and really don't want to have to buy them just to test parts I don't want. Lower parts are all as provided with the P80 kit, no customization besides the slide and barrel.

I'm generally handy including precision stuff like rebuilding automatic transmissions, but I've only maintained firearms (long guns) and never significantly modified or built one up like this so I don't fully know the mechanism inside and out. Any ideas?

Please let me know if any other photos, video, or tests would help clarify.

Will the barrel slide through the slide without the frame attached? Check that without the RSA in place. Then go from there.
ETA Nice looking slide too.

Happens when there is not enough clearance in the hood of the hood of the slide to the top of the barrel. Are the slide and barrel Cerakoted?

Nice looking build!

Some photos of the frame / lower might help, too... like these:

A shot of the slide like this, too:

When I set up my SC frame, I had to remove a SLIGHT amount of material from the top of the front block. I was fortunate to have an OEM G26 slide to test fit with. I didn't remove much, maybe .010"-.020"? I used a file then polished with very fine sandpaper. This allowed the barrel to come out of battery easier. I determined the inside of the barrel unlock slot was hitting the top of the block. P80 was kind enough to send me a new block should I need it, which I didn't. Pics are rando pics I marked, the block installed pic is of a compact frame (Racer's above)--the sub-compact block is different (see arrow).

And also what the others said about too thick of a cerakote coating...

Having this issue too. I'd rather use hand sand paper. Which grit do you think would work the best?
I have 80-3000.

Start with a coarse grit (80#) until it is down where you want it, then smooth with 200ish, polish with 600ish. Whatever works for you, might involve some trial and error. :)

Sounds good. How do I know when to stop? I've been running 80grit over the entirety of the top of the locking block back section for a while, slide still stuck and needs a shit ton of force to rack. Do I keep sanding until its racking smooth(er)/smoothly? When did you stop polishing yours?

Racking smoothly is the objective so that's a safe assumption. Also, is your barrel and slide lubricated?
