Video Ay, ay, ay... People are STUPID (with guns).

One genuine walking and talking rectum. An attitude like that deserves a boot in the ass.

The moment he emptied that pistol and set it down, I would have cold cocked him. What a total piece of garbage!

I think a genuine (unloaded) pistol-whipping would have been appropriate in this case... :devilish:

What could possibly go wrong?
I'm thinking that the muzzle blast would be painful for her with only plugs in. What gootoobers do for views...

Last Public Day there were a couple and another guy shooting a G22. It was the gal's and other guy's first time. So we RSOs paid particular attention to them. After showing and reshowing grip and sight alignment, the gal started doing pretty good for a noob, actually better than the other guy.
But we could see her flinching and wincing and that was attributable to the foam plugs barely inserted in the ears. We don't have "loaner" ear pro but they can buy a set of plugs at the food pavilion. During a break, I had her properly insert the plugs deeper into her ears and strongly suggested a pair of over-the-ear muffs, which would help with concussion flinch...

Really the poster children for Darwinism. And I'm all for that.
That too. But unlike them casting a pall on the gun community, it's a good thing when they depart the gene pool.

It's dress-up day for the Nancy who once almost joined the Army. And his girly arms.

I recommend a weights and doing some pushups and pull-ups before deciding to include a 25 lb WWI era light machine gun in your loadout.

The Bren was slowly phased out but remained in the Brit's inventory until the 80's. I've shot one. It is a beast. Chambered in 303. It's best to be operated from a mount or the bipod. You need to be a gorilla to shoot this gun from the shoulder.

BTW... These old Brens go for 5k - up to 10k in good shape. The Indian variant is a little cheaper.

Apparently a real post on X:

I need to send mine back, because whatever "overlapping-auto" is.... Mine's not working!

This is an example of what I wrote previously. It's intentionally wrong. Maybe just clickbait. I'm not sure who is worse... the clueless who believe it or the Mr. Peabody's who feel the need to correct what is an obvious and intentional error.

I am reminded of the North Carolina politician who suggested solar farms were going to use up too much sunlight. No shit. He really said this. Others too. This is a special kind of stupid: US Town Rejects Solar Farm Amid Worries It Would "Suck Up All The Energy From The Sun"

The problem, if it's not corrected (even if in vain), is that this is what the media latches onto and perpetuates as "facts." The general population / muggles BELIEVE it.

To wit... remember the retired Air Force General who was on national TV demonstrating "full semi-auto" while apparently shooting an AR-15 for the first time in his life.

I parenthetically mentioned "in vain" because I have found it to be the case MOST times. Even people who personally know me, and KNOW I'm effectively an actual "firearms expert".... express disbelief if what I state contradicts the media and political narrative pertaining to anything related to firearms. "Yeah Racer, but...." Aaaaaaaaargh! They're fucking LYING to you!
