I posted a thread recently about the RSA for my PF45 build not being long enough, an issue that was fixed by purchasing a LW RSA.

However, after furthur testing and research, I think that the LW trigger housing may be causing issues for this build. From what other people with a similar issue suggest is using a gen 4 Glock OEM housing instead of the LW. I know there is a MGB video about modifying a housing, but I dont remember if its for a PF45. I would also like to see if getting the correct part will fix the issue without modifying

I found this video on reddit, which I think explains the problem with using a LW housing in this build:

Any input/suggestions/advice from anyone whos done one of these builds would be deeply appriciated. Thanks in advance.

I tried LW trigger assy for my 80% Arms build and removed it. The connector was the issue for me, so I went with Glock oem except for Zev connector. The LW connector wouldn't allow the slide to be removed.

Its funny you say that, because I was having the same issue with removing the slide. Thanks for sharing your experience

Looking for a g34 copper barrel. Any ideas? Searched my usual vendors. Found this on fleabay, don’t know anything about the maker

Looks the same as all the other budget copper anodizing I've seen. When you start with a rough surface, the finish will look rough.

Picked this up from MGB on ebay. Can anyone confirm that this housing needs the modification from video #23?

You are better off with the Gen 5 G21 trigger arm and housing than the Gen 4 housing. You will like the feel and it is more responsive as it gets rid of the less-than-ideal spring design. It's like going from front wheel drive that pulls the trigger arm into place while the Gen 5 pushes it into place.

It is likely you will still have to relieve the interference in the arch of the trigger housing, see here:

I didnt know the gen 5 trigger housing and arm was compatible with the PF45 frame, does that compadibility include the connector and ejector?
Have you found that the gen 5 housing also needs modification to fit properly?

The MGB ebay listing is for the Glock 21SF. I suspect the trigger housing has not been modified for the PF45. Mostly because the description doesn't say it has and MGB is pretty specific in everything he says. Also, the PF45 mod is a custom modification and requires individual fitting to each frame. Some need a little off, some need more. There is no set amount to take off. Grind until it just fits.

I had no problems fitting a Gen5 because I modified my frame. It took 10 seconds with a dremel and sanding drum. I almost always agree with modifying the cheapest part, in this case, the trigger housing. It bothered me that the PF45 frame had a design defect so I eliminated the defect. Some, most or all may not have the desire to dremel on an irreplaceable part-the frame. I thought I documented it in a post but I can't find the post.

To Gen5 it, you need the trigger housing and a Gen5 trigger bar. Some have cut the tab off the Gen3 trigger bar. I'm not comfortable doing that. I got my parts at Midwayusa.
