Oregon just slid-in something that bans trigger thingies or bump stocks about a week ago, very quietly.

They are trying to piecemeal their takeaways very quietly as they can't get them through in a lump of issues.

Its ridiculous that not even a year after the Supreme Court rules that bump stocks are allowed they are already trying to ban it. We all know it's going to be overturned, they are deliberately passing unconstitutional laws that they know are unconstitutional, simply because they know they'll get away with it while it's challenged in court.

The problem is states are banning what they consider not to be a firearm like normal capacity magazines, stocks, etc, etc. Congress needs to pass a law that says if it can attach permanently or temporarily to a gun it is protected as a firearm by the 2A but does not need to be registered as a firearm.

There are Sheriffs in eastern OR and WA who have stated they will not enforce some of the draconian gun laws the people on the other side of the mountains made law.

One thing you can count on: There will not be a major shift away from liberalism and gun hatred in western Washington or Oregon in our lifetime. Even rampant crime will not deter them.

There is already a movement for some of Oregon counties to secede and join Idaho. It does have legs. Sadly, our county isn’t one of them.
