Spent holiday weekend in MI. Rented car and 2 out of 3 cars smelled like...

There are a LOT of legitimate benefits of CBD. We keep CBD tincture here- so effective for muscle pains, etc. But THC has NO beneficial effect except to take away nausea, which it does so well and is why Chemo/Radiation patients will take it. I have no problem with that as its far better than Big Pharma crap.. The other THC proponents only want the intoxication from THC.

Being a musician, I came from a world surrounded with it....now I can't stand the smell of it. Usually you can smell skunk weed 6 cars away in traffic...

Legitimate, how? There are no peer reviewed studies. There is no guidance AT ALL on dosages, interactions, contraindications, etc.... like 100% of all other therapeutic medical drugs. Where is it listed in the PDR (Physician's Drug Reference)?

Until those criteria are met, there is no MEDICAL (or scientific) legitimacy. People report feeling better. That's anecdotal. And multiple anecdotes do not make data, It means literally nothing in the scientific or medical world.

With all other drugs... ALL of them.... doctors know or have guidance on therapeutic dosage, max dosage, drug interactions, warnings, indications, contraindications, etc. None of that exists with weed or any of its components. It's not medical until those criteria are met.

Next thing you know, they will ban cigars. Then they will require scotch drinkers to hold their breath while riding in the elevator.

I would tell this neighbor that her shit smells and I'm taking action to demand she install gas scrubbers in her bathrooms. She responds by saying you can't smell it - and I say... "Prove I can't smell it, bitch. I've hired a lawyer. You should get one too. Let's see who runs out of money first. You or me".

Then after she goes broke or throws in the towel I sell my unit to a family with five kids under the age of 14. Refugees who just emigrated from Pakistan and like to have relatives come stay with them for weeks on end.

I should have mentioned I have spent a lot of time in places where people stink. After a while you just can't smell it anymore. But at first it hits you so hard it would knock a buzzard off a wagon full of rotting corpses. I'm talking about a stench so bad it gives you dry heaves. It comparatively makes a zoo house or barn in summer smell like Chanel #5.

Some weed smell? It's a first world problem.

Of course you won’t find it legitimized in anything from Big Pharma. Mic drop.

Btw- CBD does NOT get you high whatsoever. THC does.

Now ask yourself who was behind promulgating the movie “reefer madness”.

Yes….dow chemical and big pharma. Another mic drop.

And all I know is, my former boss and a very conservative man in the church, pointed me to the CBD many years ago when I was working for him …I was shocked at how well it worked on pulled muscles, etc, bigtime reliefs, ZERO intoxication.

And I know what side of that is like from eons ago. Two completely different issues, two completely different component in cannabis.

Cheers.

(Columbo) Just one more thing....there is plenty of solid information on the reality of the solid benefits of CBD- and no its not from High Times magazine or that side of the pro-cannabis fence. Real legitimate information, very validated. But you have to want to find it, and be open to a change of mindset. ITs truly available.

Why do Dr's prescribe Marijuana for Cancer patients going through Chemotherapy? Because it works.
I am in NO WAY letigimizing those who want to bong-out or roll a spliff and get loaded...in spite of the fact that they can go buy a 5th of jack and get hammered legally; but that's another issue entirely.

Watch what BL said about going after cigars.....that will be next.

LOL! I'm glad you feel like that was worthy of a "mic drop." Good on ya. 🤭

I'm talking about INDEPENDENT peer reviewed university-based (typically) studies. You see, that's what is considered legitimate in the scientific world of publishing. Any conflicts of interest MUST be declared, and if there are any conflicts, it DElegitimizes the study or report considerably.

Mind you... such published studies are not infallible and can be potentially flawed. But the manner in which they must be published makes such flaws apparent to other scientists reading the report.

Now ask yourself who was behind promulgating the movie “reefer madness”.

No idea. Never saw or heard of it. And I'm not sure what the scientific relevance of a movie (called "Reefer Madness") would be. I am familiar with the movie, "Up in Smoke." Very funny movie in that day.

Citations, please. Again... must be peer reviewed. That's the starting point of legitimate scientific studies / reports.

Believe me, I know how to find it, and I know how to read it. It's how I found the studies on mRNA COVID vaccines dating back to 2012 and 2016 that contradicted the narrative of the C19 vaccine, which did NOT go through the same testing (because they know it would have failed).

I'm open to reading any citations or references you have, IF they are published in recognized peer-reviewed journals (with good Impact Factor).

I'll also repeat that if MJ is a legitimate therapeutic / prescribable drug, then it must be listed in the PDR along with ALL other drugs.... with information regarding therapeutic dosaging, max dose, drug interactions, indications and contraindications, warnings, side effects, etc.

So, what is the proper therapeutic dosage of MJ? What is the max dose?

When a doctor prescribes a drug, one of the most important things he or she must determine is if it will interact with other medications the patient is taking. REALLY important, because such interactions can have very bad effects, including death. SO.... what are the potential drug interactions with MJ? Where is this documented? With ALL other drugs, it's documented in the PDR (Physician's Drug Reference) or similar publication.

To be clear... I'm not opposed to sick people doing whatever it takes to feel better. I'm not debating whether it "works" in that regard. My only opposition is the labeling of "MEDICAL." It's not medical. Not yet. That's not how medical science works.

Reefer Madness

1936 film directed by Louis J. Gasnier
Reefer Madness is an American public service announcement and exploitation film about drug use and abuse. It was originally titled Tell Your Children, and it has been known by the titles The Burning Question, Dope Addict, Doped Youth, and Love Madness as well. In the film, aspiring high school students are enticed by pushers to try marijuana. They become addicted and engage in criminal activities such as a hit and run accident, manslaughter, murder, conspiracy to murder and attempted rape. They suffer hallucinations, descend into manic-depressive episodes and insanity, and associate with organized crime.

LOL! I thought it must be an 80s movie comedy that I missed. Wow... 1936!??

Pretty much a scare tactic film to keep the youth of the day too afraid to try it.

By the late 60's, it was what you might call a comedy because everyone was laughing at the films depiction of pot smokers descending into the abyss of harder drugs, immorality, and crime, all of which existed independently of pots influence.
By the 70's, Cheech and Chong pretty much epitomized the image of the typical pot smoker and Reefer Madness faded into obscurity along with the badly made Godzilla movies of the same era.

Well, that didn't work! LOL

I thought they were hilarious. But I never once tried weed or other drugs.

Any time I hear someone's name is Dave... in my head (and sometimes out loud), I'll say, "Dave's not here!" :ROFLMAO:

I remember when Big Bamboo was released. Everyone was talking about the big rolling paper that came inside the album jacket.

LOL! Ummm.... we didn't watch anything like that in my DE course.

I don't smoke weed, nor do I use any product of marijuana for medicinal purpose. I don't have a horse in this race, but would like to see a peer reviewed, university based study proving that no part of marijuana has a medicinal value.

I did a quick google search, but other than "research is being done on marijuana in medicine", I didn't find anything concrete. Maybe I should've used less neutral search words, because I can usually find something in google supporting any side of an argument.
