The requested work thread...

Whoops! What was he trying to do @NavyVet83?
It almost looked like he was TRYING to drop the car but I think he was actually trying to put the lift arm back under it... This is when you get a ratchet strap and pull the lift arm towards the opposite wheel and CAREFULLY let the car down and reposition the lift. Of course, the proper way is to properly set the lift up and shake the lift once the wheels are just off the ground.

My wife had tires put on at Sam's Club or BJ's--I forget. It was a GM minivan with recessed lift pads underneath and NO pinch welds or pads on the rocker panels for lifting. Got the car back and one of the rocker panels was caved about 2" from improper lifting--I was livid! 😠 When I went to complain, they flat-out denied it. Apparently in the fine print it says they are not responsible for damage or some shit. Got a refund on the membership and never went back again.

Sometimes it is just total lack of training in the service department.
Well, probably always :ROFLMAO:

Here's a brand new Corvette Z06 in pre delivery inspection
Man that sucks!

Worked at a Chrysler/Jeep dealer for almost 10 years. Car hauler came in with a load full of brand new Jeeps. Parked across the street to unload them. Driver was backing one off of the top rack from the part of the trailer closest to the tractor, Jeep fell off the top rack between the two "halves" of the car hauler and I think ended up looking straight up at the sky. Had to get a crane in to get it out of there :) Was a fun and exciting day that day! ha

I was at a Chevy dealer getting parts. Car Hauler had a van on top--an overpass had sheared the top 6" of the windshield and roof off. I asked the parts guy about it and they were waiting on an insurance rep to show up, write it off, and accompany the van directly to the crusher. :(

I think in the case I talked about, whomever owned the car hauler or the car hauler business planned to just buy the Jeep.
