I take a break from the forum and all hell breaks loose! P80's are a thing of the past now?

Where have you been??? ;)

Polymer80, as a company, unfortunately is a thing of the past.... for now. They were "lawfared" out of business. For now. I have a sneaking feeling they'll be back (see below).

But we're still building! There are still P80 frames out there. Some of us "have a few." Plus there are other companies making frames. I recently built an SCT frame and recently got a Geisler frame.

Come Monday, the Supreme Court will begin hearing the Vanderstok vs Garland case aka "frames and receivers" case. We will not likely hear the outcome (decision) until June 2025. But I believe the chances of us winning are very favorable. And when that happens, I think we will see a tremendous surge in the gun building hobby.

Whoa! what a bummer. That's got to be tough for all the supporting companies. After I read this thread I did a quick internet search, companies asking $250 for a P80 frame.....I get supply and demand but that's a bit steep IMHO. I'm sure others think it's just fine though.
Fingers crossed the court cases favor the patriots!

Check out my blog post on this very topic:

An open letter to fellow Patriots: Build another gun! Now!

There are serialized frames available now for $40 - $60!
