Breaking! Trump Admin Allows 'Forced Reset Triggers' for Guns

Breaking news!
I put a G-Flex trigger on a G17. Works like a binary. I found it great at blowing thru a lot of ammo really fast but not much else. Took it off and replaced it with a Timney. That was before I discovered Johnny Glock.

The operation of a binary trigger or similar function on a PCC or AR is relatively straightforward if you arent an unskilled doofus. The thing you have to learn is how to disable it when you need to stop shooting - when you have the trigger 'pulled'. On a pistol with no safety.... not as simple. It's manageable but like I said you cant be doofus who doesn't truly understand how the gun or the non-standard trigger works. Negligent discharge is pretty easy with these triggers.

I've read reviews and watched YouTube vides of full auto handguns. Mostly Glocks. Fun range toys, but that joy is fleeting. Accuracy goes out the window as one might expect. In my mind there just arent any scenarios where I'd want or need a full auto handgun. It's a solution looking for a problem. If you want to sling lead, get a subgun and put an FRT or binary trigger on it if that gives you a woodie. The better subguns are roller delayed and far more controllable in a full auto mode or simulating it with the aforementioned trigger alternatives. Scorpion , Stribog, or one of the Turkish HK clones are affordable. The triggers run about 350

What I see posted on Facebook daily

No dingus, hard pass for me
You'll be happy to know an FRT with a Dingus will be available soon. There's a lot going on with FRTs since the Rare Breed Settlement and I'm not sure exactly if FRTs in handguns are going to be frowned upon by the ATF. They specifically forbade Rare Breed from working on one for "pistols", but that really leaves a gray area for everyone else, I suppose.

If you're on Facebook, this group has a lot of info and many developers and manufacturers. If you filter out most of the whiney little bitches, there's a some good stuff.

It is either one function of the trigger or not as that’s how Rare Breed and the NAGR won their court cases. It is not up to the three letter agencies to make, change, or modify laws passed by congress.

That's the thing. Unless Congress gets off it's ass to codify some of these changes, they won't be around long anyway.

Given the recent actions of Trump and his administration, I don't see any restrictions on the way. In addition, they are about to take suppressors off the NFA list - hopefully.

No restrictions from Trump, but unless Congress codifies it, the next President can put them back on, with the stroke of a pen.

Maybe but maybe not. The recent developments of SCOTUS ruling and overturning Chevron. They let the three letter agencies know they can't make or change laws. The single function of the trigger is codified and is law set by congress. Now, what needs to happen, is to stop all the presidential executive orders that go directly against the constitution. We need a faster mechanism to turn them over. The bump stock ban took around 5 years or so before it was overturned.

Yes, along with a definitive Court ruling on the term "Shall not be infringed". That would solve everything.
But we have to be careful there. Some have the opinion that wanting to exercise your right to bear arms without infringement is the problem.
I wonder how they would react to being required to pass a background check to voice that opinion. Even face felony charges if it was discovered that they once got busted for passing a joint to an undercover police officer. Or God forbid, they were a Veteran that needed help with their finances.

On paper. But in practice the overturning of Chevron had ZERO impact. To wit... Vanderstok (frames and receivers)... And here we are.

Facebook is for old people. And evidently, simians. It's a bigger shit show now than it was when I left.

After a seven year hiatus I considered going back on FB. I perused it for a few days using my wife's account and decided I made the right choice when I went thru the formal process of having ten years of my data deleted. I had been on it since you needed an .edu account.

I have no desire to connect with knuckleheads and old ladies posting pics of their 'grandbabies'.

I left 4 years ago... not due to grandbaby or "fur baby" 🤮 photos. I left because facebook became an agent of the government, enacting infringements of Free Speech.

And I did experience FB censorship personally and even in private messages. Just this week, I'm STILL getting messages from FB that certain posts were deleted... YEARS after I posted them. No shit... just a few days ago! LOL!

I will admit I miss being in touch with many friends and family. Unfortunately, it's how people stay in touch now. They will NOT email or even text. Forget about phone calls. It's FB or nothing. I was in regular contact with dozens of good friends and family. Now it's literally less than I can count on ONE HAND. Those are the only ones willing to use text, email, etc.

And some of them have begged me to return to FB, because it's much more convenient. Some even pleaded that I should just stick to pictures of the kids and family news... In other words.... abide the censorship. I will admit I was very disappointed. I cannot respect such weakness.

But my principles supersede the tremendous compromise in Freedom that is Facebook. I will not and cannot abide an environment where the gov't infringes Free Speech (or any other Constitutionally protected Right). Facebook is ADMITTEDLY an agent of the gov't in that respect. They admitted it. The White House (under Biden) admitted it. And for THAT reason.... I'm out. And if it means leaving behind friends and even family.... so be it.

I think a lot of people believe there's some kind of liberal conspiracy associated with controlling what appears on FB or not. Collusion with dark forces within the government. Actually, I think it's much simpler. Greed. People getting greased to push an agenda that has money behind it.

As far as the government being in cahoots with the so-called free press, this has been going on since Hearst created his monopoly over the mass media of the time... newspapers. At the lower levels below ownership, reporters and editors were either in the pocket of politicians or the Mob. The players have changed but it's still true.

What makes all of it work? Other than bribery or corruption, it's the tendency for the masses to gobble up what they want to hear. Ignoring facts. Critical , independent thinking has always been in short supply. Humans are pack animals. The public are largely dumb fucks and followers. Liberals and conservatives alike get spoon fed the propaganda they agree with. By the respective outlets for same.

No. It's actually official. They outright admitted it. Jen Psaki admitted collusion on national TV. I saw it live and repeated on recorded video. Zuckerberg also admitted that the Biden administration was DIRECTING facebook on what to delete during the covid hysteria.

This isn't a conspiracy theory. It's fact. And nobody disputes it, not even the perps.

There's always that, too. But what happened during the covid hysteria was a violation of the 1A once the gov't directed FB what to delete. FB could have done it on their own as a private entity with no constitutional issues. But once they became a willing agent of the gov't, there is a 1A issue.

I'm not holding my breath waiting for any legal accountability.

It comes down to who you choose to believe. With me, it's nobody. Quite literally nobody. Even if they proclaim something I agree with.

If everyone knew how many lies are told every day in the interest of national security, they would be gobsmacked. Twist that a little to "in the interest of public health and safety". That's their defense.

It comes down to who you choose to believe.

When Biden says, "We told Facebook what to delete about covid".....

And Zuckerberg says, "The gov't told us what to delete about covid, and we did it"....

And I had my own posts about covid deleted (among other things).....

It happened. They admitted they did it. I saw it happen with my own eyes and personal experience.

Nobody is lying about it, including me. I personally experienced it, and they said, "We did that."

There's no debate here.

Turned a blue Zuckerberg into a red Zuckerberg. He backed Trump this time as he saw how dangerous the far left had become.

Yep. You are right. No debate they did what you said. And those who did it will say it was in good faith, the interest of public health and the greater good based on what experts were telling them. And you know who will believe them? The majority. Mosty because they don't care what happened yesterday. They live in the moment.

Those who want to fight that war... look behind you. There's no one there. Contrary to popular opinion, martyrs are quickly forgotten.

Four years pf philosophy at the university level. Mandatory. Truth and fact are often at odds.
