What ya listening to?

Now that dredges up some memories. I used to dress like that. I thought I was Don Johnston. The guy whose office was next to mine used to sing the Miami Vice theme song, "You belong to the city..." when I walked by. He was a middle aged lifer at the company. He was obsessed with my youthful lifestyle. Even though I was recently married, he would ask if I was getting any action from the girls in the secretary pool (yes they still had those). He would say things like, "I hear Suzie f---s like a rabbit". Weird dude. I always wondered what his homelife was like. He was divorced. Sometimes he would ask if wanted to go out for drinks... he could be my wingman. The answer was always some other time.

Last album I ran a few days ago was Saraya’s “When The Blackbird Sings” in max res streaming, Imo one of the two great albums of 1990/1991 in spite of the budding onslaught of Seattle’s “alternative” that was a forced backlash against all the crappy pretty boy bands in the late 80’s out of Hollyweird.

Queesnryche’s “Empire” came out in Sept 1990…, and is another modern classic, IMO.

Good music is good music no matter what the genre, stands the test of time. Others are like a contrived flash, and disappear into nothingness and irrelevance.

‘Thou art wise’, as my UK chum would say, Bongo Lewi.
