This should stir up some shit! LOL!

Do you carry with a round in the chamber? Presumably with a pistol that does not have a manual safety as is found in the Glock design. But, the question can still apply to guns with a manual safety.

Or do you fancy "Israeli Carry?" If you carry with an empty chamber, have you trained on chambering a round on the draw? Have you trained to chamber one-handed?

Don't carry a Glock or P80, but AWAYS carry EDCs with one in the chamber!

Does your EDC have a manual safety?

The implication here is with EDCs that don't have a manual safety (like the Glock system).

What Michelle says! I have several EDC guns, but the ONLY EDCs in my arsenal with a manual safety are my 1911s (i.e., SAO).

My brain says "Always chambered". My nuts say "No way MF'er".
So, unchambered appendix carry?

I tried appendix carry once. My nuts said no, but it didn't have anything to do with being chambered.

Mostly, when carrying a P80 concealed. Also with my M&P, because it doesn't have a manual safety either.
I do have a shoulder rig for cold weather when wearing a jacket and they're chambered in that.
Colorado being an open carry state, I often just use a hip holster and my 1911, which is always cocked and locked.
That may change, when they get done creating all the safe zones for active shooters in this state. It won't be long before criminals can open fire anywhere they want without having to worry about law abiding citizens stopping them.

Indeed.

Not to hijack the thread, but do you remember the pardon by the governor last month issued in Texas for the service member that defensively shot the BLM activist packing an AK-47? The activist was bragging about it only minutes before he was shot dead by the service member for allegedly pointing the AK at him while a clan of BLM'ers surrounded his car at a stop light. It was during the summer of love fests in 2020 during the election year.

Well 14 attorney generals have now sent a letter asking the DOJ in D.C. to pursue federal civil rights violations against him to basically amount to double jeorpardy with separate federal charges. These people want to use this guy as an example to others around the country that you will be pursued if you actually try to defend yourself against D.C.'s BLM street army funded with bricks, posters and money by Soros.

Here's the letter by the 14 generals and their opening paragraph
We write to urge the U.S. Department of Justice to open a civil rights investigation into Daniel Perry’s killing of Garrett Foster on July 25, 2020 in Austin, Texas. At the time of his murder, Garrett Foster was exercising his First Amendment right to protest, as a part of broader protests against police brutality and racial injustice in the summer of 2020.

PDF Letter - 14 Attorney Generals

Here's a video of the dead guy shortly before being shot actually mimicking and challenging someone to act against him. In the background is the BLM summer of love ghetto music playing.

They want the guy convicted for this because he's
1. Military,
2. From Texas (a stand your ground, castle doctrine, CC carry state),
3. He shot one of D.C.'s street soldiers and brown shirts.
4. They want to prevent others from using their firearms in self defense by throwing them in jail.

It won't matter if you chamber a round or rack the slide for self-defense, we are moving to a society where you won't be able to defend yourself without going to jail no matter what state you're in whether it's Colorado or another state. Attorney Generals in other states will seek D.C. goons to add federal charges.

And finally, here's a document showing some of the evidence used to convict him in the freedom loving state with castle doctrine laws in place.

Will those who Israeli carry and have been in a gunfight or assaulted with a deadly weapon please raise their hand?

None. Because they are all dead. :)

That method is a placebo. It's for gun owners who are afraid of their gun but mistakenly feel safer with one.

Appendix carry, 1 o'clockish, chambered, in a kydex holster.

I've put enough Glock pattern guns together, function and drop tested them to have confidence that it is not going off unless somebody pulls the trigger. There are 3 safeties in the gun, the holster makes a fourth safety. Trigger finger discipline counts as five. šŸ‘‰

After trying many ways and locations to carry 1 o'clock works the best. The ideal configuration of gun for me and my carry location is something with a G17 slide and a G26 grip, the holster is set to ride mostly below the belt. The GeePlate magazine baseplate gives me somewhere to hook my fingers on the draw. The long slide helps to tuck the grip into my concealed carry panza. When seated the slide pushes against my leg, thereby pushing the grip into my belly. Shorter slides print really badly for me, G26 or G43 sized guns are the worst. When seated the grip tilts waaay out.

Here's my current carry gun, based on a Lone Wolf frame for the smallest possible grip. The G17.5 is a new addition, I have not even shot it yet but have been tinkering with it already and am considering de-humping & chopping to make another 17/26 hybrid.

EDC with a round in the chamber. Gee that was standard in the revolver era unless you had a SAA or like lockwork SA wheelgun.

And we didn't shoot our nuts off or have a AD in a classroom, etc.
