Wildlife in your back yard? Post'em here!

Badum tiss.

Neighbor has one tree.
I keep telling him to keep watch on the littlest kickme they have.
Before they moved in, there were, "WERE" stray cats that found a way under the skirting.
I don't know what exact kind of owl that used to root there. Big ol bastage.
Prolly 3 foot tall.
But I think they liked Cat plenty well.

Not my yard, but that of a friend.

He lives in an area where there is a colony of white squirrels. Not albino, as their eyes and nose are not pink.
There's another colony in Brevard, NC.
They are protected inside Brevard city limits, and they even hold a white squirrel festival.
Lots of stories on their origin, but who really knows.
One of the stories on where they came from is on the Brevard city website.

These guys typically don't last long in the wild as they have no natural camouflage like their grey brothers, so they are easy pickings for hawks.

Back about 10 years ago, I nailed one during a hunt. Out of the corner of my eye, it looked as big as a cat on the side of that oak tree.

My sister went to college not far from "Home of the White Squirrel".
