PSA is kinda pissing me off with the Micro Dagger

Finally got to shoot the G43X with the PSA mags. Put 250 rounds through the gun this session. Need to tweak the rear sight to the right a wee bit. Gun is shooting to the left a couple of inches.
Short answer, no issues. Mags work flawlessly, even when loaded to the 15 shots and putting #16 in the barrel. I was worried there would be too much drag on the slide, but it cycled every time.

I loaded all the mags to 14 rounds when I first bought them. Couldn't get the 15th round in. Let them sit for a week and then #15 would go in. Getting the last two rounds in is pretty tough without a mag loading tool of some kind. Even with the factory Glock tool that came with the pistol, it's hard to get those last two in.
Bought a tool that works much better than the factory Glock item. Will do a review here shortly.
glad you didn’t force the 15th, setting spring first is a classy maneuver that Reddit complainers haven't heard of šŸ˜‚

My micro frame came in. I had a comp slide waiting for it since those came out last year, so I was very ready to use the damn thing. It runs like a top, absolutely love it. Slide to frame fit was amazing, sear engagement is 80-90%, more good luck at play. I had been concerned, but in the end it just worked out. With my dagger builds, previously, I bought several very inexpensive dagger firing pin assemblies, so I had components to work with to get proper sear engagement for each frame and slide combo. For this build, firing pin assemblies are not currently available, and I just lucked out. I’d bet the warranty department would help someone out if they truly needed better engagement for safety.

Btw, I was not expecting them to have smashed a gen3 trigger assembly into g43 format, but it’s pretty cool.

I have the pink and the rust-colored one. The bright color makes them easy to find in the range bag without digging.
I call ours ā€œBarneyā€ (no not the Flintstones..) and got the color it’s in, for the same reason…..So I could find it in the range bag. My daughter-in-law was coveting our Barney. (It works so well.) So we got her a pink unit that stands out too and it’s her very own …. I need to get a second one.

I don't need / want one. But I LOVE that reliable firearms are being made so AFFORDABLE for everyone.

It conceals comparably to my Kahr PM9 and 9 more rounds per clip. Just kidding, magazine. Way less poking and weight than a G19 or Dagger compact for the same round count.

For me, the G19 / PF940C grip is perfect for my hand.

Then, you will like the Micro the same. To me it feels more like a GST 9 or Dagger Compact. Just a little slimmer but feel is the same.

Isn't the grip much shorter?

How do the ergonomics of the micro dagger compare to a G48?

I finally snagged a couple of those PSA Micro frames. Comparing it to a G48, I'd say it's slightly better due to the grip texturing. More of a personal preference thing for me. I like the G48. And the G43.

It's roughly .10 inch shorter 4.7in vs 4.78in, I wouldn't lose sleep over .02in. It is not a 3 finger-pincky dangling grip. All of my fingers fit.

I admire your fortitude and want no part in convincing you there is room in the safe for one more. So, if you see one in the wild, look away. Under no circumstances should you pick it up. Absolutely don't shoot it. There, I've done my part to keep you on the wagon.

LOL!

HA! You ALMOST got me... :D I wasn't really looking to buy a gun today, but I had the micro frame IN my cart, 1-click away from owning it, FFL notified "maybe", then I decided to do some math. ;)

After tax and $9 shipping the frame comes to just under $116. Then add a magazine (currently OOS) for $30ish, a slide for $240, shipping of $10 (they ship separate from the frame) and $18 tax and the total is $414. The complete gun WITH mag would be $381 after tax and shipping. Neither price includes the FFL of $25. And now that is getting fairly close to the price of a G43 or G43X which I would prefer (maybe)...

They have a comp version (OOS) I think I will save my pennies for... :)

But then you would just have a Glock 43 instead of a gun that does exactly the same thing but costs more. :)

I bought the Micro frames just for shits and giggles. I'd say it's different. Not better than the G43. It's definitely cheaper to buy the entire gun. I did also get the complete Micro comp version. It's a nicely made small 9mm. Runs fine. The comp is a very marginal improvement. The comp on my Hellcat is noticeably better than without. But still, it's not like a night vs. day difference. Slightly less muzzle flip.

One of my fav FFLs doesn't charge me the transfer on frames. He says he doesn't feel right charging me $40 for half a gun. Still have to do the paperwork, of course. I have a permit so he doesn't to have to make the call. Even though I can find ammo and supplies elsewhere cheaper, I always buy stuff there to reciprocate.

The math doesn't favor piecing one together. I had all the parts except the frame. Money already spent. The slide spent some time on a now retired single stack P80.

A complete pistol is the best way to go right now. If history repeats, these frames will be marked down within a year. When that starts happening, it will be cheaper to buy in pieces when on sale.

My Dad paid for and waited 5 years for a Colt Ace in the early 80's. I don't have that kind of patience. I paid full freight for the Micro Frame. I should have waited for the slide and frame I wanted but I didn't. It will cost even more in the future to correct that.

$340 for the complete gun on the PSA website.
Last August my G43X cost $450, and it comes with 10 shot magazines.
I bought the micro dagger mags as they also fit the 43X and the 48. Now the mags are $30ea.
