These are not the kind of guys that keep in touch or send Christmas cards either. They dont chat or monitor each other on Facebook ;) Now and then I might get a call. At 2 am. One just showed up on my doorstep one day - with a full load out. I looked at him and said I guess you are planning on staying. :)

A few years ago I got a call from an old buddy I worked with in Algeria. He needed bail money. Busted in Delaware for a bar fight.

It's not that these guys are losers. They are just a special sort of highly skilled misfits. Not at their best unless they are in some God forsaken place and have a mission to accomplish. They can't function well in regular civilian life. It's too boring and they dont like the pencil neck bosses in the private sector.

Oh wow. That's my current age. And it was my mom's age when she died. She got stomach cancer at age 37. Survived that miraculously (had a 5% five-year survival rate at the time). Then she got breast cancer. Survived that. Then got bone cancer, which she didn't survive.

Same! I don't think I'd listen to it in my car or home. But in a dark bar with a cocktail.... I think it would work. The dude has a crazy good voice! And yeah.... the voice and face don't match! LOL!

It's interesting.... musically... when an artist can take a classic song from one genre and fit it into a completely different genre.

I listened to the BBC last night and they were all gushing how "great" the performance was. :rolleyes: Apparently the NFL is trying to have more of a worldwide presence since normal people here in the US have lost interest. 🎯

I took a nap and woke a little bit before halftime so I figured I'd check out the AAHS. On my way surfing there I got distracted by an episode of The Simpsons so missed the first part. ;) I did find it on ONS (religious) channel who added in some content of their own... :rolleyes:

When the AAHS was over I went back to the game to see NE get a spectacular touchdown. :) Soon after there was an interception by SS surely sealing NE's fate. At that point I turned it off...

Show me the SPANISH version of the lyrics. I don't know his music at all, so I don't know if this translation is accurate. I'd have to see the original Spanish lyrics. I do speak Spanish. Of course, slang can vary (a lot) depending on which country they're from.

But if true.... that's pretty bad.

OK... I've suffered through the first 3 minutes of it. He starts "singing" about having a lot of girlfriends from around the world. There was a little bit of innuendo, but nothing graphic. I had to look up some of the slang, since it varies WIDELY from one Spanish country to another. But there is just as much innuendo in a lot of American music played on the radio.

At least in the 1st three minutes there was NOTHING like is claimed in that screenshot.

PS.... This is the "talent" they brought? I've never heard of the guy, but holy crap, he can't sing!

You need to suffer through the rest of it, my friend. ;) For research purposes since you had questions regarding the validity of the posted lyrics--that's why you make the big bucks. :D You could always download the lyrics in either language.

I hadn't heard of him either. 🤷‍♂️ He apparently won a Grammy, whatever those are... 🤔

To download lyrics.... need the name of the song. That would be easier than listening to it. A lot easier. I don't know anything about this shit "music."

Ok, I'll split it with you--lyrics are at this LINK en espanol... I don't know the names of the songs either--apparently a compilation of songs. The naughtiest lyrics appear about 2/3rd of the way down.

OK... There's one "f-bomb" in the lyrics... in English, mind you. By today's "standards," that's pretty benign.

But the screenshot posted previously... is absolutely a TOTAL fabrication. I didn't see any of that in the Spanish lyrics.

That was grabbed from a related X post and perhaps they translated lyrics from the ORIGINAL song? 🤔 🤷‍♂️
