Some good selections there. The cutting plyers and small end nipper should prove very valuable. You are going to have 100 labor hours in this frame to get it close. The key to keep it clean so you can see the next cut. I would only use the Dremel bits on the very last finishing steps. A mini saw blade would also be beneficial.

I've been considering an ultrasonic knife for a while now. But most of them appear to be kind of short. So, I'm not sure about the ability to reach down far enough into the pocket. And they're not cheap! But I'm jonesing for one!

Save your money. The squirrel is going to die anyway.

You could always make something useful out of it! :D

Poor Rocky

One day you are just rooting around, minding your own business looking for those acorns you buried in the Fall. Then BLAM! Somebody blows your brains out and makes a purse out of you.

It does occur to me this would make a great gift for my ex for our ex-anniversary or her birthday.

Some "special tiny" tools came in from MicroMark! Scalpel!

Now, I have to decide if I want to "ante up" for an ultrasonic knife.

Well... if the frame does not work out with those tools you could take on a side job as mohel.

The food at the after parties is always excellent.

Do it. You will literally need any edge you can get.
Ha! The one I'm looking at is $800!

Of course, cost is not really the object here. Proving that it CAN be done to a high-level finish is the mission.... expenses be damned! ;)

I'm sure after 200 hours you can do it. :) Anything is possible given enough time and money.

It only took Michelangelo 3 years to complete David from a block of marble.

Can do a P80 in minutes. This, nope, no way no how. The P76% is the Rubik’s Cube of guns. Lots of people try but the end result often looks worse than if a dog did it with their teeth.

@Racer88 start a new thread on your bridge build. It sucks wading through the garbage to find your info. I’m interested in your build , not the side convos way OT. Specifically by bingo.
I was planning on it!

Please do. And keep track of your hours and tooling costs. I suggest a pool on the number of hours and money spent on tools. My guess is you can buy 10 Glocks when you add up the time and money involved. And it still wont be as good. :)

Ultrasonic knife: $500
Glock 19: Much more useful. Same price.

On the bright side you cant masterfully slice a turkey with a G19 :)

Good luck!

I was planning that, too.

Ah, but proving a point... Priceless! LOL! Also.... getting around obstacles thrown up by liberal Freedom-deniers... super-priceless! :D And I already have a factory Glock 19.

The knife I'm looking at won't be available until next month... supposedly. One of the popular uses for ultrasonic knives is to cut support sprues on 3D prints.

How about adapting something like THIS? $15 You can get all manner of blades for them. LINK If you had to, you could grind down a blade to fit in the pocket? You can also get the blades at Home DeLowe's, etc.

Looks too big (and ungainly).
Assuming you have access to a HF, I wouldn't be surprised if it is IN STOCK. The body is about as big as an angle grinder. If you can't hold it, maybe you clamp it in your vise and move the frame onto the blade?
