I spent some time in Canada for a couple of years and had an apartment there when I traveled there monthly competing against Patrick Carpentier and David Empringham in the F2000 series in the Toronto and Quebec provinces.

We lived in an old church that was almost waterside to Lake Ontario off the 401. That lake is really dirty! Very brown water and I would never swim in it. Labatt's was not cheap up there! Nor was gas! And that was a good while back.

Canada is nice, but has changed a lot. Montreal is a great place to visit and about the only French people that don't hate Americans! And the F1 race there is one of the best to visit for hospitality as they have a live concert and laser light show in the downtown area and plenty of hoopla on the weekend nights. At the time, it was one of the favorite tracks for teams and drivers.

Lived in Cleveland as a child. Fished in Lake Erie, we did not eat the fish , took pictures and gave them away at the wharf.
Also lived in the Seattle area and went to Vancouver and Victoria a lot as teenagers . Great times up there as a college student. But the politics have changed.
