Tip! Alternate Tab Removal Method

I saw the video for Racer88 when he introduced the Micro Mark sander for fine precision sanding,,, I was wondering,,
They have a Micro Mark Powered Chisel also,,, has anyone tried or thought about using this to cut out the PITA 76% Polymer 80 lowers that are out there..?? Just curious

Hmmmm.... Interesting, and I did not know about it. I've been tempted to buy an ultrasonic knife, but they're pretty pricey, and I don't know how well it would work.

I used the Ryobi chisel on my second 76-er. It worked fine for taking off most of the material needed. Then I used the Ryobi rotary tool with various burrs and sanding wheels to do the rest. Some finish work with needle files.

I still didnt like the way it looked. Ran fine. But every time I took the slide off to clean it, it pissed me off. I admit to being OCD and is something is not perfectly finished and plumb, I can't stand it. No matter how deft someone may be with hand tools, you cannot produce the same result as a factory made lower. It's impossible.
