I had an 8-track player (built into my Fisher receiver) that had RECORDING capability. I could record on blank 8-track tapes. How cool!

Yep, had one of those too, but mine was a Panasonic.
The 8-Track is one technology that I do not miss. The cassette is not far behind.
Blue toothing your tunes to the car stereo from your phone is so wonderful in comparison.

In Australia, a pool noodle is an essential riding mower accessory to defend against Kamikaze Emus.
This is quite irritating to the Aussies, who now do not have a free hand to hold their beer...
Personally, I would use a 45, but that option is no longer available to the blokes "down under".
