You can rebuild the pillars with JB weld. The front pin is 2mm so I don't trust it. Get some 2 part JB Weld and a toothpick and look at a pic of how it should look. I will send you one in a few minutes in a post.

Cool! There's hope for this one?

OK... so a Dremel-like tool. What did you use as a bit to remove the plastic block? Was the bit too big? Or did you just not realize you went beyond the "U" outline?
I used the smaller one they had but I guess I didn’t realize I went beyond the u

Yes, but NO power tools for you. Get a fine cut round file about 1/2 the size of the channel to work the channel with. Also 120 and 220 sandpaper.
Get the JB Weld with the two tubes red and black.
Don't try anything else!
Call me back when you have that stuff in a private message.

I would like to see how it goes out here on the forum. It would be interesting to see this situation fixed. That's a lot of missing material. Does JB Weld bond that well to the frame?

Will do I just don’t have the barrel till Monday because it got delayed 🥲

You've got a long way to go before you need the barrel. :)The frame needs a lot of work, first.

After function testing, please spend some time making sure it's a safe build with proper safety testing.... all of which needs to be done with snap caps. No live ammo touches the build until you are at the range and the muzzle is pointed down-range.

A pleasure! It's important that new builders take their time and get good information. We built this forum for that purpose. We're building guns, which are precision devices that contain an explosion in our hands. This isn't Legos or birdhouses or model cars. Safety is paramount.

Slow down, get educated, and enjoy the ride!

Oh crap... California?!? Hmmmm. Move to Arizona?
Suggesting a resident of CA purchase an 80% in AZ is ticket straight to jail. @DanielL12367477 or anyone else in states banning 80%s do not follow this advice. It’s not even a good idea to joke…it’s very serious business in these anti 2A states.

Yes sir your frame can be fixed. I suggest posting your attempts at repairing your frame here on the forum to document the processes. This will help other builders correct similar mistakes made on their frame.

That said…The raised posts are a duplicate of Glock - on a Glock they act as an interior guide on the inside of the slide to align it to the Glock rails. On a P80 they aren’t as necessary because P80 combines the locking block with a set of front rails that are 3 times the size of Glock rails. You’ll be fine my friend - I’ve seen it many time without issues 👍

You will need sand down that channel step up til it’s flush with the rest of the channel

The repair is not required however, if you want to make a repair. Here’s a link to the resource center on repairs

I recommend using the 5 minute two part epoxy, or plastic welding. The posts will need a interior support when building with epoxy or they will just break off. Metal paper clip heated and embedded into the frame should work fine. Build epoxy around the supports. Sand and shape after epoxy has fully cured.

Good luck with your build journey, I’d like to see your progress with this repair if you chooses to take it on.

Some folks in CA have a 2nd home / residence in AZ... So, I hear. Just like lots of New Yorkers have a residence in FL. That's what I meant. I would never suggest anything illegal.
