Breaking! New Mexico’s Democrat Governor Suspends Second Amendment Rights in Albuquerque with 30-Day Ban

Breaking news!
And while there may be a couple bad apples that over-beat some poor sucker that probably deserved a "little" beating, most cops' hands are tied for fear of lawsuits. I believe a cop has a personal right to defend him/herself and spitting IS assault and should be defended as the officer sees fit. Chauvin got railroaded for merely having his knee on the back of some druggie OD-ing. That should have NEVER happened, and C.O.P./Sheriffs s should support their officers/deputies and not pussy-out and cave to slimedia and race-baiters/hustlers. 😠

When I was a lad, my mates and I KNEW that if we were douchebags to certain cops, they would give us a rap offside the head with a nightstick. Nothing brutal but it hurt and was certainly a deterrent to keep us respectful and polite. This policy needs to be re-instated (tongue in cheek) and conversely, assholes need to stop resisting arrest! 😠

Not strangely at all if we think about it. She deviated from their script. And we've long known they have a coordinated script. If you look at the statements from the anti-gun "usual suspects," they are not strangely nearly verbatim identical.

The anti-2A faction knows that what she did was too far, too fast, and destined to be a whopper of a loser. They don't want to be associated with a loser.
I kind of figured a similar angle - if what she does works, other (conservative) governors could throw their own punches at leftist organizations "suspending the 1A" due to safety concerns, etc.

In the long run, I'd rather have the NM Gov in office than some only because the others move on the sly and actually get things done under the radar. With luck, this sort of lunacy can help educate some of the public. Not holding my breath though.

Governor Karen in NM screwed up. She allowed her massive ego to take control and ran her mouth. There are other megalomaniacs like her in the big chair. Some of them are smart enough to undermine the 2A more discreetly.

OR, WA, NY governors are also gun-hating, outspoken loose cannons who crave the socialist state. I agree that I hope they keep talking publicly and further expose their true motives.

THIS JUST IN!!! ;)

Reminds me of another group. MADD. Not a terrible cause, but here's the rub:

When my 18-year-old nephew was killed by a drunk driver, my sister-in-law got involved with MADD. Understandably. She invited me to one of their meetings and fundraiser so I went as a courtesy to her. When I look at this pic of those ladies standing behind Governor Karen, I'm pretty sure that some of them mean well. Like MADD volunteers and supporters, they want to do something to prevent someone else from enduring the tragedy of someone from their family being senselessly killed. I get it.

The problem is that some of these folks who join advocacy groups are well-meaning and others are simply nuts who can't go a day without a cause. A tendency to be an angry control freak is at the root of their nature. Like the person who signs up to be on the board of an HOA and walks around the building or neighborhood with a clipboard looking for problems or an opportunity to be in charge of something, acting like a boss. Consider Almira Gulch, who was obsessed with control and didn't want anyone else in Kansas to enjoy life. Some may recall Almira Gulch transforms into the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz.

The other problem is cretins like Governor Karen use these people. The nasty asses and the heartbroken alike join the movement, whose propaganda is very carefully crafted to tap into their respective raw emotions - or megalomania:

Guns are bad
Gun owners are violent or foolhardy
Nobody needs guns
Our children are dying
The government should confiscate all guns to keep us safe.

Gov. Michelle Grisham and her kind are never going to quit. Or stop recruiting people. The gun owner community is terrible at recruiting the faithful. Reactive instead of proactive. I am shocked by how many people think the NRA is a counterbalance to people like Bloomberg, Soros, and the other Bilderberg Group types and their puppets and minions who endeavor to disarm all Americans.

Bingo. One of the basic needs of humans is Significance. There are many ways to fulfill that need. But for some people, they gain their feeling of Significance by controlling others.

Glorified hall monitors of elementary school and those who clamor to be the chalkboard eraser cleaner. Now about that muffin-munching nitwit we have for a governor in Oregon. Pfft. She’s worse than the muffin-muncher she replaced….

Western Oregon is full of wackos. Washington too. I think being trapped between the Olympics and the Cascades, the rain, and bordered by hopelessly liberal California and Vancouver BC has made everyone insane.

My wife grew up in Portland.

I just read that Oregon Gov. Kate Brown privately signed a bill last month ending the requirement for high school students to prove proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic before high school graduation. Yes. That is what Oregon needs. More illiterate, stupid people.

You can't make this shit up.

Too bad... it's a beautiful state. I have two uncles there. Spent the summer of 1979 there with them... Ashland and Eugene.

I still believe she knew she would fail and this whole thing followed a script. It was too coordinated with all of the jackasses that you would expect to approve voicing their disapproval. I ran across this article that shares a very plausible theory.

Plausible? How so? And what is the theory exactly? The article didn't really say other than blah blah Marxist blah blah. Or perhaps I missed it by reading it too quickly.

I think Hanlon's razor applies:

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

I think there is some malice here. But she's also profoundly STUPID in how she went about trying to curtail the 2A. And that's why the usual suspects distanced themselves from her. Because she's FUCKING STUPID, and she exposed THEIR true anti-2A goals and went about it the wrong way. She didn't follow the script.

The scenery is breathtaking. When you can see it thru the gloom three months out of the year :) Summers are short but the most perfect weather. On the other hand it almost never gets cold. Snow stays in the mountains where it belongs. Which is a big plus for me. I despise cold, freezing weather. I had enough of that when I was a kid.

I did the Mt Rainier climb. Trained for weeks. After the second day I began thinking it was a bad decision to risk my life climbing a 14,700 foot mountain for no good reason. Exhilarating and foolish at the same time. I'm pretty fit, but I don't think I could do it now. Nor would I.

The theory is in the title. Was she TRYING to start an armed rebellion? If this had gone on for more than the 5 days it took for a judge to issue a TRO, it may have escalated. You're correct in stating that she was STUPID. She may have taken the support of the DA and law enforcement for granted.

Remember that she is a puppet with George Soros pulling her strings. These evil people would love to see a civil war break out in the USA. It would have to start somewhere. Look for other attempts to take place.

There has to be more to this than what is on the surface.

Was she TRYING to start an armed rebellion?
It is my sincere belief that the answer to that is... NO. (for why... see below)

If this had gone on for more than the 5 days it took for a judge to issue a TRO, it may have escalated.
Also, I disagree. The only way it might escalate is with attempted enforcement. And that was never going to happen.

These evil people would love to see a civil war break out in the USA. It would have to start somewhere. Look for other attempts to take place.
Again, I don't think so. Here's why: They KNOW (like we know) that they would LOSE. Bigly.

Nope... they would MUCH rather "go tyrannical" by lulling Americans into acquiescence. They WERE successful in that regard with the COVID shutdowns. Once.

You may find this article interesting.

Both @CECannonJr and @Racer88 bring valid input. - Stupidity (Racer) and Rebellion (Cannon).

Racer, perhaps you missed it, but realize the Soros foreign money and "Rebellion" analysis is precisely similar to what Trump and Maga folks have been accused of with inciting an insurrection by protesting an election. Removing fundamental rights granted in the Constitution so openly is what a dictator does either to gain more power or to incite a response which is exactly what New Mexico's governor did. It is irrelevant whether it was from stupidity or it was intentional, the results are the same.

1. Recent Ammo Land Headline quoted in 2023:
Is New Mexico Governor Grisham Deliberately Inciting Open Rebellion?

2. AP Headline quoted in 2022:
Jan. 6 report: Trump ‘lit that fire’ of Capitol insurrection
How do these two quoted headlines differ by much other than using the words "insurrection" and "rebellion"? Both are substantially similar, but probably have legal nuances that differ.

The second quote is from AP and can be viewed at the link below. Obviously there will be a ton of other similar links just like the AP headline including those from PBS and a plethora of mainstream media outlets. Just do a search.

Conservatives need to start fighting like the Marxists/Leftists are doing. New Mexico's Governor should be called out just like the Maxist/Leftists called out the lambasted MAGA Patriots.

Okay, so you're tired of the word Marxist and Soros? So why not call them what they are: "Communist Light", or simply "Commies"? Because, that's exactly who they are. A few of the more outspoken Marxist/Communists need to be thrown into court just like Trump and Maga Patriots have had happen to them as "insurrectionists". Many J6'ers are being persecuted politically rather than being tried for some of the misdemeanor issues they MAY or MIGHT have committed in D.C.

Further, one should notice that a decent number of these cases are now being presented and decided on recently. Dragging these cases out for 2-3 years was done intentionally so that the sentences were issued during the build up of the 2024 election. Misdemeanor trespass cases should have been settled in weeks or months, not several years. It was delayed and timed this way for political reasons and to discourage any potential citizen from questioning or protesting potential results of the 2024 election. It is a warning shot across the bow to preempt any potential challengers of 2024. This is why Biden and the DOJ are going after any and all individuals associated with Trump including his lawyers and political advisors and anybody that affiliates or endorses the MAGA mantra.

We need to play by the same rules of the Marxist/Leftist and stop playing nice. Otherwise, we lose. We need to start dragging people into court through legal actions through the Attorney Generals in conservative states that have been harmed.

And the first step is calling people out for who they are and what they're doing. And, this is what the article that @CECannonJr linked to does. It's precisely what the AP story linked above did when it came out in 2022 as follow-up to the Democrat led J6 Committee's investigation from 2021 to 2022 and their claims of insurrection against Maga Patriots.

What we need is a handful of state Attorney Generals to grow some balls and start dragging Marxists/Communists into court for their illegal actions under color of law. This includes Soros and many other folks. The list is endless and much larger than the J6 list.

Ammo Land's article is just one of many theories and stories that need to unfold publicly in order to fight the Commies trying to take over America.

Removing fundamental rights granted in the Constitution so openly is what a dictator does either to gain more power or to incite a response which is exactly what New Mexico's governor did.
A "response" is HARDLY a "rebellion." Yes... the response was a combination of lawsuits and actual peaceful protest / civilian disobedience (the open carry event at the park).

How do these two quoted headlines differ by much other than using the words "insurrection" and "rebellion"?
The "insurrection" actually happened. I'm not calling it "insurrection," as I believe that is a HUGE stretch of the definition of that word. But yeah... something actually happened at the Capitol. There was an "incident" at the Capitol.

On the other hand, there was nothing that would even remotely resemble "rebellion" in NM. Again, a "response" in the form of peaceful demonstration, political rebukes in the form of letters, press conferences, and videos, and lawsuits filed HARDLY constitute a "rebellion."

So, yeah... Not seeing it.
