Polymer80 may survive the court battle but not their own reputation....

Really? This is the easiest question to answer.

The actions of criminals have ZERO bearing on our Rights... or maintaining or protecting our Rights.

The answer is: Punish the fucking criminals!

Why do you think Democrats have been releasing Violent Criminals without Bail??? If Democrats stopped shooting people America would make Switzerland look like Mogadishu.

BTW, you're not the only one who has publicly advocated for the 2A. I've been doing my part, including ways I'm simply not going to publish here.

Exactly. Democrats will keep shooting people until Guns are Banned and they can begin Exterminations Wholesale.
So you’re helping them by preaching the party line and advocating the restriction of our 2A rights? Huh?

This has to be some sort of elaborate troll

This was MY 13 year old skill level. The fact that there are children with more mechanical aptitude than most adults is nothing new View attachment 16978
When I was 14, I was building things far more complicated than those - R/C boats. That was before you could just buy an R/C model ready to go. :)

But I don't project my abilities on the average 13 year old. Hardly. Most of them don't know right-tighty, lefty-loosey!

If I was asked that question by a gov't body (about the age skill level), I would be far more honest and not base it entirely on MY skills. I would have based the answer on my observations of MOST builders (which is easy now with the interwebz). And I would answer thusly...

There is no skill level based on age. The vast majority of adults' projects that I have observed indicate that most of them have a lot of trouble getting their build to function properly. Based on the dexterity of the average person (which I have observed hundreds, if not thousands of times), it takes many many hours and attempts before they can get it to work reliably, if ever.

But of course, that is a Red Herring. The ease or difficulty is not the issue at hand.

Balsa twin engine B25 myself. The thing is that there are enough of us that were/are. I can only imagine what would have happened if these were available back then. I started building models around 7 years old which would have developed the skills necessary for these. I pretty much had access to guns and ammo since I was 10 or 12 when I got my own gun rack. I for sure would have figured out how to do a few just because I could. If that would have blossomed into supplying my friends Dad's Bike Gang etc who knows. Teenage boys aren't known for their decision making especially if it means access to sex, drugs and alcohol.

They are intentionally creating the Crisis that will convince people that Rights are too dangerous anymore.

No I'm explaining what we are facing and how the old arguments aren't working anymore. Not only that we are actually enabling them to Make the Case that Americans can't be trusted with such Rights anymore.
Their argument: Criminals and Kids are running amok with these things!!!
Our argument: Muh Rites!!!
Democrats are all about Creating the Crisis that needs to be solved by eliminating our Rights.
Look at what people were willing to submit to just a few years ago!!! Forced injections with untested Genetic Mutation Shots and public Muzzles because they intentionally released an intentionally created Bioweapon.
Now several times a year we have mentally disturbed people that the NICS system failed to flag getting guns and shooting up schools and malls. It's almost like the FBI is arming these people with Left Over Fast and Furious Guns?
We need to figure out how we can work around all of this or We Loose.

The fact is the old arguments aren't working at all anymore. We have to beat them with their own stick. That's why I chose the ADA argument to eliminate the Copycat Features List in Maryland. Again using the high fees to exercise our God Given Rights discriminates against low income Law Abiding Minorities ability to defend their homes and families. They don't give a Crap about you and your Rights. That's why I and so many others are figuring out what will work while finding the circumstances that will allow us to successfully challenge these things in court. Your Rights and $1.25 will get you a cup of coffee.

The problem is that every time "we figure out" something by passing a law it restricts our gun rights and does not solve the problem. Think of 1934 NFA, 1968 Gun Control Act, 1986 NFA and the 1994 Assault Weapons ban. With the exception of the 1994 law which fortunately had a sunset clause, everything else is still in effect and none of them stopped crime (not saying no crimes have been stopped by these laws, I am stating they have not stopped crime cold in its tracks). The strategy of the left is to keep taking things away bit by bit. By attrition they will ultimately win.

I was also into model rockets. Fun stuff. NOBODY does that anymore. Not today's young people. They don't build anything. They buy it and then throw it away when it stops working and buy another.

Find a hobby shop today. HA! When I was a kid, they were everywhere, and I was in heaven.

So, the photos of bungled frames I posted above... That's the NORM. The interwebz is rife with such examples.

Your results and ability to do them in "five minutes," as a lifelong machinist, are NOT the "norm." You're "Abby Normal." :) Your perspective is warped... in a big way. You think it's easy "for any 13 year old," because it's super-easy for you. This perception is incorrect.

Where the Flying F@&# do you get the idea that I'm advocating restrictions??? I'm stating that these restrictions are the reality that we are facing and the reasons we are facing them. Nobody cares about Muh Rites anymore. They see Crime, Plague and Pestilence and many would welcome China taking over so they can Feel Safe. That's the Reality we are facing. I'm just waiting to see what BS our new Legislative Season will bring in a few weeks and how we can challenge what they WILL PASS successfully in Court because that's the reality we are facing.

Yeah me too. Pretty much gave me the idea for my Bazooka. Model Airplane Fuel made Ammonium Nitrate twice as hot as Diesel. The improvised munitions handbook was a very bad influence.

Yes. You've been preaching the party line. Kids and Kriminals are getting 80% firearms, so we have to put a stop to it. Throw in the Kooks and you're sure to win, "The KKK is arming themselves", we have to stop it🤣

And to top it off, you keep telling us how irresponsible you were as a teen and projecting that behavior on everyone else.

Preaching the party line is advocating!

These things have become a plague in schools and on the streets.
They're literally participation trophy "builds". Personally Manufactured Firearms were never an issue when it required tools and actual skill to make a firearm. Once the router AR's and Dremel Glocks hit the market it was a matter of time before they would become a public menace

All the memes, soundbites, statistics, facts, anecdotes, and stories won't change the fact that crooked politicians compromised by past bad deeds, that may or may not have been recorded, can vote away our rights and will given the chance. They have no choice in the matter, vote this way or else. Who is directing them? That is the source of the problem.

Pardon every single person that Epstein HAD records on. Blanket pardon for all past acts. It completely nullifies the value of the files. God in Heaven will have his day with them. As with most criminals, they can't change their behavior, they can't stop their illegal activities, they will continue their bad behavior. There is no immunity for new offenses. Now we all know who they are and who they associate with. All eyes are on them.

Now, back on the topic. How can P80 save themselves from their own stupidity? We kind of need them around. They could pull a legal stunt. Declare bankruptcy, dissolve the name and miraculously resurrect as N80. Nylon80. Completely different company, no baggage. And, hire someone that has a clue about customer service. Any other ideas?

Fair enough - I did just review your various replies. They have a tone of supporting restrictions (not saying that's what you intended just how I interpreted some of the comments especially related to kids and access). A lot of context can get lost in just reading text in an email or on a forum.

I specifically interpreted
We need to figure out how we can work around all of this or We Loose.
as implying we need to make concessions with the anti-gun left.
